I'm in with Rebekkah. Also rock has sub genres, that fall under its sphere. The sub genres actually have different styles within them. Metal alone has dozens of styles, and not actual sub genres within it. The same with any of the other sub genres of what falls under the sphere of influence of Rock. You have over a couple dozen actual sub genres under the sphere of rock, but then each one breaks down into the various styles, where artists, band, and groups may cross over from one style into another one or two depending on the general style of the song. So there are more like actually a couple of dozen sub genres with a large number of styles within that makes it seem as though there are over one hundred different genres of music, that falls within the sphere of the classification of rock. You missed a few of the other main sub genres such as Christian rock, Rock-a-billy, and Disco, to name some more off the top of my head. Punk also has a few styles that falls under it's sub genre header. Edit point: Dave V, you left out some other very important components of rock. Jazz and country also played a major role in the development of rock music as did to some degree the big bands, while fading out, were still there at a significant level.
