What do you think about liberals being killed while watching kids sing at church?
Have you heard the news about the church shooting at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee? A man walked in with a semi-automatic shotgun and shot into the crowd. Two people are dead and several were injured by gunshot or trampling injuries. Here, look at the link:
What are your thoughts on this crime, which is being investigated by the FBI as a hate crime? Is it OK to shoot liberals because you have a beef with them?
Edit: in case you've missed my nearly FIVE THOUSAND POSTS, I'm a staunch liberal.

OK, here's part of what I wrote in response to another question that was just deleted:
Damn, that could've been me--I'm a staunch liberal and very vocal in my community. What if somebody decided to target me for being liberal? What if there's some copycat? I feel bad for the victims, but I also feel nervous because I'm a liberal, too.
That guy is a disgusting, vicious coward. The crime is being investigated as a hate crime by the FBI--they're taking this very seriously. It's against federal law to prevent people from exercising their religious freedom, and killing them certainly keeps them from free exercise of their rights.
And to the person who asked if I would have been OK with it if it had been conservatives who were killed: are you f*cking stupid or just cruel? How dare you even question whether I would think that was OK? Don't you DARE have the audacity to think that I don't have morals or I think mass murder is fine if it's conservatives. THIS IS NOT OK!

Of course it isn't okay to shoot liberals. It isn't okay to shoot anyone.
I worship in a church one mile from the shooting and this has been very hard on my community. Those poor kids who had to witness it! We had a prayer vigil last night which helped a little.

Of course it's not ok. Are you implying that it would be ok if it had been conservatives? We're all human beings regardless of our opinions and every single person is of worth.
EDIT: Wow, you have anger issues. I wasn't suggesting that you think killing conservatives is ok. I was simply pointing out that your whole argument of how killing liberals is wrong is a little weak. Killing is wrong period. What does it matter if they're conservatives or liberals? I just found it interesting that you made a big deal of people killing liberals. People are killed everyday.

It is not ok to kill some on because of their beliefs or political stance, providing that they are not physically harming or plotting to harm others.
In this case (given my lack of information about it), I would say that it probably does classify as a hate crime.

answer: I hope Tenn. has the death penalty. Killing someone because they belong to a liberal church is disgusting. Killing people in front of children is horrific and he does not deserve to live.

Once again, we have proof that God could care less about the people that worship him....
I mean, they are INSIDE God's house, and he allows that to happen?? How the heck do you maintain faith after an incident like that???
Of course, if youre Fred Phelps or his ilk, then you's think that the guy was justified. After all, this church supported GAY RIGHTS!

The shooter has serious issues if he thought killing people with different beliefs was the thing to do.

It is a tragedy when anyone is gunned down.
It is an even bigger tragedy when there are children present to witness it.
