Freedom of Religion is the freedom of choosing your own religion, not free to do whatever in your religion. I don't know what religion you are, but if you are Baptist than the Rite of Baptism is much like the Catholic Sacrament of Confirmation. It is a choice you take upon yourself to follow the restrictions. America isn't giving you these restrictions, you are taking them for yourself.

Baptism is a choice that parents make to bring their children into the church of their choice (freedom of religion). Children then have the option as they grow older to stay within this religion or find one better suited to their beliefs. That is freedom. It is a given right in the United States, but not so in other countries.

  • Making a choice is freedom. Nothing changes that. Baptism is just another choice. Some choices help you, some are harmful to you. But nothing takes away your freedom to choose. Before or after baptism

Baptism is a public profession of faith, not a legal binding contract. It is meant to symbolize the death of your old life and the beginning of your new life with Christ. You still have all the liberties as you would before you were baptized. Whether you choose to partake in sinful activities is up to you. You will have to answer for them.

Ok you are really showing your ignorance. The constitution ONLY regulates the government.

Private organizations can limit whatever they would like, within the law of course.

The government can't regulate religion, but private citizens can.

I think you are missing the freedom of religion part anyway. You totally don't get it.

They baptized me. It didn't take away any of my freedoms, I grew up Pagan anyway. It's only a ritual. It means nothing unless the person being baptized wants it to.

You MUST make sure not to be late paying your Tithes and Offerings....!!!

Act 5:9-11 (NIV) Peter said to her, “How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord?* (*aka “Comforter”, aka “Helper” by not paying the FULL tithe and offering to the Church!) Look! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door* (*in a truly Christian burial nobody notifies the death event to any spouse or relative! Have you noticed how bloody cool is Saint Peter about tithing?!) and they will carry you out also.” At that moment SHE FELL DOWN AT HIS FEET AND DIED* (*Praise the LORD! Sweet Jesus! Saint Peter KNEW that she was going to be slaughtered on the spot by the Ghost of God! No intercession whatsoever! Most likely Saint Peter and God the Holy Ghost were conniving together to teach the Church a lesson on giving… so what the heck!!!). Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. GREAT FEAR SEIZED THE WHOLE CHURCH AND ALL WHO HEARD ABOUT THESE EVENTS.* (*yeah… it works all the time! Just have somebody slaughtered in the primitive Church and the rest will learn AND FEAR! It is the Bible way to teach any lesson! What if Ananias and Sapphira had children at home? Who cares? Too bad CNN was not there to report… Christianity would have been involved in a very big scandal!)

Any member of God the Holy Trinity team puts to shame any mobster boss intimidating and killing anybody without mercy just to get your attention about paying your tithes and offerings IN FULL and on the spot… NO RAIN CHECKS!!! The Bible writers were very smart! Praise the LORD, sweet Jesus! They thought of everything! Although the preachers today use the "sow the seed and harvest bountifully" scheme to get your money and they do it with a CLEAR CONSCIENCE AND CLEAN HANDS and perfectly legal in most countries where politicians take advantage of people’s religion like in the USA!

I am free in America to worship in (almost) any way I please. I was baptized 1/6/74. And it was a public profession of something I had already experienced privately, ie, a changed heart and life in Christ.

Following the gospel of Christ is not a limiting thing. It is liberating and lets you be free to make choices. When we choose to become addicted or a slave to anything then you choices are limited. By not drinking, smoking, doing drugs, looking at porn etc. all of the things my church leaders teach about then I am not controlled by any of them. My mind is clear, my choices are limitless. All because I chose to be baptised and follow Jesus Christ.
