I think you're talking about "Goliath II" - such a cute short!! You just about nailed the release date - it was 1960 exactly!

i know what your talking about.it isn't dumbo because it was in the jungle.he had to fight a mouse because the mouse kept scaring the bigger elephants.what i would try is googling "animated elephant images" and that should help.
