My father-in-law used to do wedding photography, and he always said the best pictures were the candid ones. As far as posed pictures...my favorite one from my wedding is of me in the foreground and my husband in the background facing me and leaning against a pew (standing beside the pew with his hand on the edge).

I saw a really neat wedding photo the other day where the bridal party was in a circle leaning in over the photographer who was laying on the ground. It gave a great view of everyone's smiling faces from an unusual perspective. If you're looking for something unique I would suggest this.

I read an article in a wedding mag. on this recently- simple things like the dress hanging before the bride putting it on. The couple from behind walking outside, a shot of the intrance into the reception from the bride and grooms point of view- I reccomend looking through online albums and saving pics that you love to shar with your photographer

i do no longer think of you are able to have a concern, heavily. Like others have stated, the ceremony will in all risk be late besides--they generally are. i've got not often considered one that starts on the time suggested in the invite--they're generally a minimum of 10-quarter-hour in the back of time table. definite, the ceremony lasts approximately 20 minutes--however the church isn't empty 21 minutes after the ceremony starts. It takes a sturdy 10-quarter-hour to sparkling out the church, counting on how many human beings you have on the marriage. Then, those comparable human beings would be milling around and vacationing after the ceremony, and that they are going to slowly amble to their automobiles and rigidity over to the reception. it relatively is going to in all risk trip completely, and in case you have some completely anal guy or woman who shows up in the previous the hall is open, they are going to comprehend that that's going to be open quickly. do no longer rigidity this one, ok? sturdy success with the marriage!

Our photographer did a great job of getting most everything...there are a few I wish he got.
More focus on the groom, for the most part it's all me, not too many of him getting, pinning th bout on his lapel, shinning his shoes etc.

make sure you give the photographer a list of picture combinations you want. Check with your parents and his parents, too, and make sure everyone knows when the pictures are being taken so they are ready and available

One word - "reportage"
Reportage (prn "rep-or-tah-jj as in "garage") are photos taken when people are least expecting it. Natural shots, no posing, no mad grins. They're the best photos, I guarantee.
