Why are you always smiling?

That's what I actually love about the people in the Philippines. Some have completely nothing but they're not lonely and depressed like people in America. My mom who grew up in the Philippines say its because you can just step outside of your house and have people to chat and laugh with and its easy to forget about problems. That's why I plan on living there when i graduate from college. It's just so much better than living in America with all these depressed Americans. A lot of filipinos probably don't even know what depression is and will never experience it.

I am happy because I have God living in me. That is what makes me happy. Also I like to smile at times because then people wonder why I am smiling and might ask. There are times I like to smile. I am happy most of the time but I try to show it other ways by just being positive. I don't have a good smile but I do try to smile. I have been to the Philippines and they do smile a lot. They are such sweet people even if their circumstances are bad. I really love the Philippino people.

I know exactly what you mean about the Phillipines...I did mission volunteer work in Manila for 3 weeks and despite having absolutely nothing the kids were always happy, always smiling, and just grateful for what they had rather than ungrateful for what they didn't. I'll never forget the look on their faces when we opened a pack of balloons and blew them up....lol they'd never seen them before and it was just beautiful.

I'm generally a happy person so I smile alot...I guess I smile more when other people do it. A smile or a good positive mood is definately contagious! :-D

Most people that smile a lot appreciate what ever they have whether it be large or small,they love themselfs and that love radiates outward and is easily shared with others.

It makes other people wonder what I've been up to.
