Does Anyone Know the Joke?
Is there actually a joke which corresponds with the punchline "And he said, 'rectum...damn near killed 'em'"? I tend to think not and that this is one of those cases where the punchline is the joke, but has anyone ever come across a legitimate first part of the joke?

Little Johnnie's teacher asked him how his weekend was.
"Horribly, a car hit my dog in the ***," he said.
She said, "Rectum."
"Wrecked him?" Johnnie said. "Damn near killed him!"
