Does anyone else think that the questions here reflect on some of the worst human behaviors and attitudes?

Update:

Seriously, this is one of the most important elections in our history, we are facing very serious issues - yet this forum is dominated by attention to personal, not policy issues and the worst name calling and slandering I have ever seen.

Yes, I do. From both sides. The combative stance has become more aggressive, reason is consigned to the ranks of the ridiculed and it is de rigeur to lambast anyone who wishes to offer a more balanced assessment of the current election campaign and/or the political climate in which it's taking place.

I find the juvenilia of the people who answer a question with Obama '08!!! or McCain rocks as pitiful as I find the inflammatory regurgitations of hateful people despicable, and bordering on a refelction of mental illness.

But I'm resigned to it. It can't be tamed and it can't be moderated effectively, so I merely drop in little whispers of dissent. It's not popular-making, but this ain't a popularity contest.

That's news to some on Y!A. I think their bloated sentiments are due in part to private loneliness outside this place.

  • Sure there are some dweebs in questions and answers but it also shows how some people are burnt out and tired of all the back stabbing and dumb a**ed elected officials that are a joke of what we call politicans. They just don't get it when it comes to everyday common people!

Yes, some of the most overtly hostile behavior I have seen. It's like road rage on computers. Good thing there isn't a big red button, or we would all be toast.

Yes, and I hope this election can be the start of a healing process where the politics of hate and fear are put on the defensive.

I think that folks on here know there are no repercussions from what they say and therefore aren't careful with their words

I find it funny that when someone states a fact, "the sky is blue" they'll still get a thumbs down.

I'm just here for the humor, I used to ask serious question but realized very quickly that this isn't the play for an intelligent conversation

Yes, people here ask about the immoral despicable behavior of liberal Democrats like John Edwards, Bill Clinton, and Barak Hussein Obama.
