The idea is to focus on the positive instead of the negative.
And sometimes you just have to forgive people for what they have done, especially if you realize they couldn't help being what they were. Forgiveness is good for your soul. When you forgive somebody, you aren't helping them as much as you help yourself.
Once you have forgiven, you put it behind you and vow to be a happy person, not to dwell on things that you cannot change but make your present and future as happy as possible.

my opinion.... the past is just that the past. the trick is learnng to accept it as it was and not stress over it. yu can't change the facts you can only change your perception of them. let it go.
