In my opinion, he may have existed, but only as a man.

  • If you know who Jesus Christ really is you may scream like the demons who were cast out: Jesus Christ You are the Son of God ! Have you come to torment us before the time, please leave us alone!

    OR

If you know who Jesus Christ really is you will fall down and worship Him.

From the Bible, it is indisputable that the Bible plainly and clearly showed that Jesus Christ is God in the person of God the Son.

Check it out in the following verses and you will see that Bible clearly shows who Jesus is and what are the claims Jesus made about His deity and His miracles and whether or not He accepts worship from men.

    1. Jesus has two natures at the same time: divine and human at the same time. He is both God and man (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9).

    2. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary (Matt. 1:18; Luke 1:35).

    3. "He was born under the Law (Gal. 4:4) and fulfilled all of the Law of God (John 4:34 ; 8:29), even to the point of death (Phil. 2:8).

    4. In His death He bore the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (Gal. 3:13). Thus in the death of Christ the sins of His people were judged (Rom. 3:23-26) and forgotten (Heb. 8:12), and the result of His act of righteousness was eternal life (Rom. 5:18).

    5. Jesus is worshiped - (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33; John 9:35-38; Heb. 1:6).

    6. Jesus is prayed to - (Acts 7:55-60; Psalm 116:4 with 1 Cor. 1:1-2).

    7. Jesus is called God - (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8).

    8. He is the creator (John 1:1-3; Col. 1:15-17); Jesus is uncreated (John 1:1-3; Col. 1:15-17).

Everything! For example, that Jesus didn't exist and is a figment of the imagination of a bunch of camel herders high on hashish, bored but with a good sense of humor, stranded together in the desert during a sand storm. Jesus was probably their water boy so they picked that name as the center of the joke. Man, what a laugh they would be having if they ever saw what their little joke has done to humanity!

The Jesus character in the NT is fictional. It might be based in part on a real person, or it might be a full-blown hallucination of Paul's.

In any event, no more than a man.

    he existed

he was not a son of god

    he was not a messiah

he was probably the product of a rape or his mother had sex before marriage

he was either a fraud who was able to manipulate people into believing things that were not true, similar to derren brown and the like

    or

he was simply slightly exaggerative of his own abilities and people then adapted to this legend, as humans so often do

He studied Buddhism during his lost years. Then he combined Buddhism and Jewdiasm to make Christianity. It's like a bastard son.

Read Lamb by Christopher Moore. It's great and covers this topic in a fiction way.

In the end it doesn't really matter. He may have been based on a real person, or perhaps the entire story is made up. If he was a real person, I know he didn't perform miracles or anything.

They believe there was a man named Jesus, but he wasn't the Son of God.

The possibilty that a Rabbi names Jesus existed, I have no problem. That he did miracles and was either God or the son of God, not so much...

Jesus is a myth based on previous myths such as Horus from Egyptian mythology.
