ideas for a unique birthday gift for a 12 yr old girl?
alright she has everything,tv,stereo,mp3 player, dvd player, we just re-did her bedroom several weeks ago..she doesn't want a party because she doesn't know alot of kids where we live,,(we're in the navy and have moved alot) she's too old for dolls and toys, and i don't want to just get her clothes, ( oh and a cell phone is out of the question as we tried with a trac phone and she didn't handle it well) i had thought about just surprising her to a nice dinner at her favorite resturaunt, and a $100 gift card to the mall,,and then just taking her and letting her shop.. but i am not sure if this is something a 12 yrold would like.. any ideas? i want it to be special because this is the 1st yr she is away from our family for her birthday...thanks ahead for all the ideas...

To be honest, I don't know how much I'd enjoy that if I was 12 years old. Sure, fancy gifts are great, but sometimes material things just doesn't cut it when it comes to happiness.
You should just ask her what she actually wants for her birthday.

The dinner or gift card for $100 is awesome for a 12-year old girl. I got a $75 gift card from Visa for Christmas and I loved it!!! (I'm 13) Another good idea is a purity ring! I really want one for my birthday, and and I'm close to her age, and I'm guessing you would love for her to stay a virgin until after she's married. :)

Well, I'm sure she would LOVE a 100 dollar shopping spree! I know I would, (i'm 13 by the way) and it sounds like she might be a little lonely, maybe bring a buddy from a nearby town?

that is a great idea! i am 15 and i would love that.. doing stuff with my mom always makes me happy! i think it would make her feel special .. seeing that you or your husband ..? i think are in the navy! so. .. and like at night if it isn't to late.. rent a really good movie.. there is always something like the phantom of the opera or the titanic or the notebook.. which me and mom cried in..:) but i would love that!..one more thing.. if she has a close friend from out of town.. suprise her.. not on the day you and her do stuff.. just out of the clear blue!
