Cost of changing single entry to multiple entry visa?

Can anyone tell me how much it will cost to change a single entry visa to a multiple entry visa for an American? Will it be difficult for me to do this? I have a single entry E-2 visa that is good for a year.

It will cost about $80 U.S. It's not difficult to do.

The L visa is a tourist visa, only valid if you plan on sightseeing, visiting friends and family or for other personal reasons. It is valid for 90 days from the date that it is issued, and you may stay for 30 days in total within this period if it is single entry. If it is a multiple entry visa, you may exit and reenter the country within the same 90 days. China does not issue one year tourist visas. If you plan on staying in China for a year, you could consider applying for residency. If you want to enter and leave several times throughout the year, you could apply for a new tourist visa every 3 months.

It is usually the difference between the two.
