Is anyone else dissapointed in Biden?
it seems to me that Obama picked a Democratic McCain for VP. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/veepstakes
Also, I wonder how much that 'Democratic official' got paid for spilling the beans...
joan s--that hurt, really but i guess you're entitled to ur own opinion. actually, i don't know much about Biden's personality but i do remember im saying he would never be VP and he's run for presidential candidate like twice i think.
kevin; you made me laugh. At least Fox News is consistently inconsistent

Democratic McCain? Not at all.
McCain is too much like Bush still. Biden acts like a real person. He seems to treat total strangers as if you were a neighbor of ten or twenty years. A lot more warmth to the general public than what most people in the government show.
I mean, sometime last year a friend of my younger sister's by random chance ended up sitting and chatting with him in a local pub. How much more "average Joe" can you get? (We live near by.)
Who else has always gone home every night to his family and his own home after a day all day working in D.C.? The man even apparently teaches.
Besides, he's big on women's rights, having been the one to write the "Violence Against Women Act." As a woman, that is a huge plus, and not like McCain and others at all.

Biden's a fine public servant, and he would make a good Vice President. Problem is, Obama's in the middle of a tough campaign, and only Hillary Clinton could have energized the Democrats in the way they need to win. Besides that, Biden's age does nothing to underscore how old and out-of-it McCain is - if Hillary was unacceptable, someone younger than Biden would have been a better choice.

He did not pick someone based on geo. connections (though they help, Biden is from Scranton PA)
Biden is not the nice guy that Obama is. He says whats on his mind which can get him in to trouble but hey...at least he's honest (at times to a fault) What Barack needed was an attack dog. In cases like that combined with a strong foreign policy background Barack has what he needed.
Thara are some people who'd be pissed regardless of who he picked. These people are ignorant and are often referred to as Fox News hosts.

Oh, great, now they hate Biden - whom they've hardly even noticed for the past 35 years he's been in the Senate. But now he's a "disappointment."
Couldn't have anything to do with Obama choosing him for VP, could it?
Oh, here we go...

No, I think Biden is a good choice for Obama
If it is really official!
It would be exciting if it was Hillary!!

Wildly disappointed with Biden as choice for Veep.
I can't see what he brings to the ticket! (unless you count the Electoral rich state of Delaware)
He's going to be more of a liability than an asset.

I am. It just turned my undecided vote into one for McCain. Who is biden for goodness sake? Some people will say, "Oh... the Georgian president invited him to speak." Well, the Georgian president has been inviting a whole load of senators to speak because all he wants is the protection of the US, rightly.

That's crazy. He's been in office forever. Somebody must like him. A lot of somebodies!

Nope. Your suggestion makes me question your political knowledge

I wouldn't call him that. Biden is authentic, McCain is not. I see him as being more analogous to LBJ....
