Without a draft, no. People just don't care.
The economy is a bigger issue right now. This favor's Obama too, so long as he keeps playing the cards right. He should use the Clinton mantra of '92 --- it's the economy stupid.

If most Americans had to bear the brunt of Iraq, then McCain would never have been nominated, but the Only Republican candidate smart enough to denounce this war was Ron Paul.

Its unlikely since the Democratic Congress voted to begin it, and just voted to fund it further. It started before candidate Obama began his 127 days of legislating.
Since candidate Obama tends to parrot candidate McCain's stance on important issues, the War in Iraq will take a back seat to domestic issues. If Joe Biden coaches Obama, he might not lose by a landslide.

No and also before you get to excited thinking that Obama will end the war, you are sadly mistaken. i dont know where all these people get the idea that Obama is gonna pull troops out of iraq cause it just isnt gonna happen any time soon. our guys are there to do a job, when its done they will be pulled out and not before the end of 2011, that is the date they are talking the beginning of the pullout. and we cant after all our investment in iraq just pull troops out , my husband spent a year in Iraq, and he as well as i are really sick of hearing about our mistake about being in Iraq. i didnt want him to be there either , but sometimes war is necessary and i dont think that 300,000 dead Kurds in northern Iraq would have thought it was a mistake for us to be there.

What. We are winning, that is why we have to stay, that is why we have more troops there now then pre surge. Don't you know that achieving 1 of 18 points means we are winning. We are winning. Haven't you got you talking points. We are following the McCain route. We are winning the war the right way, by winning.... Never mind the the 4400 dead troops, the 30,000 wounded troops, and the trillions of dollars spent. We are winning. That is why we have to stay.

The Iraqi war is going well and why can't anyone 'get this'? The people are free for the first time in decades, their democratic government is forming and schools are up and running and there is a sense of peace. Why would anyone deny this for a nation of war-torn citizens??? Mr. McCain, of all people, doesn't want any more war but he does want us to "win" for the sake of the Iraqi people.

With Biden on the ticket Iraq is no longer an issue!

It will actually give Mccain the advantage. The war is won, due to the surge and just yesterday we signed a deal that would get all of troops out in 2011.

no. the war in afganistan is more important and the focus of the military right now. some people actually support the war because they know that the people over there would keep atacking us if we didnt fight back.
