Can Barack Obama just change his mind and choose Clinton?

I truly believe he has made a bad political move by not choosing the one person who, has truly worked hard for his nomination, What is so bad about having a Woman for V.P. if not president.

There is nothing wrong with a woman VP or President. However, Hillary made it clear that she never wanted to be VP. She has too much pride to settle for second place, but she lost. It's over. Biden will make a great VP. He would make a great President as well. Sure, Obama could change his mind, but why would he do something foolish like that?

    Hi,

It would be the equivalent to political suicide at this point in the game. There is nothing wrong with having a woman for VP. He would have to have a very good reason for changeing his mind on this. The only thing that would work without ruining his chances of being elected would be if Sen. Biden were to pass away or something. If he just switched his VP choice now, he would appear unready to handle the decisions of the presidency and national security.

    I hope this helps.

    Please remember to vote.

Legally? Sure. Technically, it's not up to him. Until the delegates go through the nominating process, neither candidate is official. So, yes, it could still be Hillary, but it's very unlikely.

I love Hillary. I voted for her. But I understand why he didn't choose her.

As many people as love Hillary, there are at least as many who hate her. I don't understand why, but they do. Maybe it's just because she's a strong woman. So right off the bat, he would have alienated a lot of voters that he needs. He's counting on Democrats to support the Democratic candidate, even if they preferred Hillary, so he doesn't expect to lose her supporters, at least not many of them. And he knows he's pushing the envelope being an African-American candidate. Add a female VP and a lot of middle of the road voters will go Republican or stay home. Change comes slowly.

    Biden was the right choice.

A week ago Obama's primary weakness against McCain is his lack of experience. But now if anybody questions his experience he doesn't even have to answer, he can just refer them directly to Biden and his decades of service.

If Obama had chosen Clinton it would have given McCain lots of ammunition to throw at him. Do you remember when BC was in the Whitehouse and everybody joked the HC was the real power behind the throne?

If Obama chose Clinton as his running made every Republican in the country would stand up and question whether democrats would vote for President Obama but end up with president Clinton instead. Would he be the dog, or the tail?

I have no problem with a women president. If I would have had to pick between Clinton and Obama, I would have gone with Clinton. Even so, I had a lot of issues with her, but any politician I have issue with. I'm a Republican, and I have issues with Pres. Bush.

Although I didn't care for McCain at first, and I'm from AZ, I think the country will be in better hands with him. He definitely has a better grasp on the issues than Obama. Biden knows this too and so does Clinton.

Again, I'm a Republican and I think Clinton got robbed.

Why would Obama change his mind? He's made a wise choice. Biden is an expert in foreign affairs. There's nothing bad about having a woman for VP, or president. Hillary didn't win the nomination and she wasn't chosen for VP. It's as simple as that.

    Three things:

    1. Clinton and him do not get along. It is never a good idea to pick a VP that does not get along with you. So long as she is constantly disagreeing with him, it would make him look like a fool to choose her.

    2. Clinton has done nothing but undermine Obama since he won the primary race. Who in their right mind is going to stand in front of someone who is aiming a knife at their back the entire time?

    3. Clinton is a senior and powerful Senator. She is going to be a stronger and more influential force keeping her old job than she ever will as a weak, useless Vice President.

With those things in mind, I think he made the right choice.

thinking the prospect that Hilary could win the Democratic vote, Obama will run as an Independant and split the vote (Obama will possibly even get the countless desirable wing vote). If that occurs, neither will see the Oval workplace. for my area, i could decide for to ascertain a split vote, because of fact i think of that a three party equipment may be the desirable scientific shelter a enormously grimy political field suitable now. on an analogous time as i'm not waiting to bounce on with Obama, some conservatives are and that could make the subsequent race enormously interesting. i think of the Republicans could desire to counter with somebody who has shown himself to be a large economist and who nonetheless stands solid on the concept government shouldn't settle for to a lot administration over the lives of the yank inhabitants. somebody who human beings can believe... we've not considered that in the time of the two party's Presidential applicants in an extremely long term.

What you really want is for the entire convention to hand the nomination to Hillary isn't? And its interesting how you put that, "what is so bad about having a Woman for V.P. if not president". That's as dumb as me asking whats so bad about an African American being president ? Especially considering that he got the most delegates.

So get over it. Hillary screwed up. Sexism had nothing to do with it. And Obama does not want her as his VP.
