i've had it on my house windows all summer. it did cool the house down a little so my ac didnt have to work so hard but it is a pain in the butt to put on. you have to keep the window moist so you can squeegee out the air bubbles. might work on the windows that dont open but wont stay put on windows that go up & down

it is not a static cling type. the glue is actually activated by the water in the window. it is pretty close to permanent.
