Liverpool b and b area with good transport links to city centre?

Depends what type of transport you mean.

By car, there are a couple of Travel Lodge type places along the A580 - a couple near Haydock / St Helens and another near kirkby. If you need public transport, I would recommend Southport, there are many B&B places there and the trains run every 15 minutes to and from Liverpool - 40 mins travel time to Liverpool Central.

There's a YHA youth hostel near Wapping (part of the docks). 10-15 minutes walk away is Paradise Street Bus Station and you can walk through there to get to the Liverpool 1 shopping centre, which in turn, allows you to walk through to many more shops, restaurants, pubs, clubs and bars as well as Liverpool Central and Lime Street Train stations

Theres a couple down the bottom of edge lane with a bus stop about 100 yds away with a 5 minute bus ride to town. Hope i was able to help you.

I stayed in Southport last week for £20 a night. 35 minutes by train to Liverpool, but S'port is a nice place in its own right.

B and B in Liverpool, if there are any, they will be full of asylum seekers.

There is one on Sheil Road in Kensington but as i mentioned it will be full of foreigners
