go to your local health food shop or nutri centre and get evening primrose cream and use that.as long as the skin's not broken it works brilliantly.i use it on my daughter for her excema as nothing i got from the doctors worked,i tried all the steriod creams and they were rubbish but the evening primrose worked wonders,it cleared her skin within 2 weeks and it was awful to begin with! was bright red and angry and went from her chin to the bottom of her neck round to the back of her neck.

I think you should go back to the Dr if you can, But I have lots of issues with my skin. If I use the wrong moisturizer, it looks oily, or it doesn't hydrate enough. And then I started using Olay Regenerist and that worked really really well, Not dry or oily. Now I am not able to afford it (it's about $20 a bottle) so I started using Olay complete (for combination/oily skin). And it does not work as well as Regenerist, But it still works better than anything els I've tried besides regenerist. Good luck!

Perhaps you have dry skin, and using the Apricot Scrub (by St. Ives? Love that stuff!) is not helping the dryness. Try using a moisturizer. Look around at the different types they offer. ecause your skin sounds dry, look for one that is extra moisturizing. Use the Apricot Scrub only once every other day, and after each wash, apply the moisturizer. Wash and moisturize every morning and every night before bed. You may need to have a towel on your pillow. If after a week of the moisturizer treatment you don't see improvement, see a doctor. You may need a more specialized diagnosis and or prescription medicine.

    I am a CCMA

I also have very dry patches on my face.. What I have found works great is warm water, a scrubber Glove and Fragrance Free Neutrogena.

Wet the Glove Put a Quarter size Neutrogena on your glove and Wash your face scrubbing lightly in circles counting to 20 on each side of your face and your chin and your forehead.. Then rinse with a little cooler water you will be surprised how well it takes away the dry patches.. I also use Fragrance Free Olay Serum afterward..

Sounds like the cream is too strong for your skin, definatley call your doctor and let him know how your skin has reacted to the cream he gave you.

Whatever you do, DON'T strat putting other stuff on your face to moisturize it....sometime the cream and interact with whatever new stuff you may decide to put on your face, and then you'll be in trouble. Just call the doctor before using anything else:)

You should go and see your doctor. He/she may prescribe you other medication that will treat your dry patches without making your skin oily.

defo go back to the doctors, they will prescribe you something else that will help clear up the dry patches but not so your skin is oily.

You should get a moisturizer to put on your face to make it less dry. One that is recommended for dry skin.

go back to the doctor. There are so many creams out there for him to perscribe, just tell him your symptoms and he will give you something else
