Did you ever notice this about the Politics section of Yahoo Answers?

Did you ever notice that for a category that should be asking some of the brightest questions, it's almost all dumb questions from people trying to get their candidate elected? This comes from both sides? People rarely pose a serious question on YA!

Why is it that one of the "smartest" categories has the most stupid questions? This goes for BOTH sides of the aisle.

Update:

I agree. Why is it when you ask a legitimate question it gets pulled?

As hard as I may try, I seriously cannot answer your question. You have hit the nail on the head.

A star for you, my Republican counterpart.

Have you noticed the "star" people on YA have checked. They are coming back to delete you. You may want to "block" those that checked your star (the one that says "interesting")

The Democratic party has shown how mean they are going after a teen child (Union Hollywood promotes promiscuity) so the Unions are blame shifting. What can we expect from liberal Dems when they are backed by all the Labor Union Mafia thugs and bullies. The nefarious tactics The Union Print media and Union News stations are for "promoting" their celebrity Obama the Unionizer.

If you were in the cyber world long enough, you will see the "poser" "communists" and "extremists" infiltrating the youth with their ideology and you'll see their plan is working with the help of liberal UNION school teachers and the textbooks they read by UNION writers.

As we speak, the YA groupthinkers are violating every question I answered yesterday as well as every ones that I asked. They, like the liberal media (UNIONS), only want their side promoted, so read this quick as it will be gone soon as part of the censorship the liberals enact.

George Orwell's "1984" - (Mold the mind of the youth and they are yours).

Ever wonder why Republicans have to have Fox news? It's because UNIONS don't support capitalism, they hate corporations because they don't get a "piece" of the action, like they DO when they infiltrate government and other UNION mass media.

Another tactic the liberals are using is promoting Ron Paul who is a RINO (Republican In Name Only), they are hoping Ron Paul votes will take away McCains win and Ron Paul will be the "spoiler" to Repubs like Nader was to Democrats.

I had less than 50 points to go, to get to level 6, and I was suspended for posting the story about A Day in the Life of Joe Republican, too many times in one night, and I lost all my emails, in a long standing email account, as well as almost 10,000 points! So, you never know when it might happen. This just happened on April 8th of this year, and I had my old account since August. In all that time, I had only had 3 or 4 total violations. That night, I was docked 12 points an hour or two before I was locked out! If you have any valuable emails, I would strongly suggest that you open another free email account right away, then use it to archive all your emails! *sm*

I have noticed that. I believe that very few people on this site are informed on the issues. Mind-numbing drivel about what makes your candidate great, based on the latest headlines is not helping your party. I just try to answer each question as informatively as I can, that way I know I did my part to further my party's cause. A few intelligent questions to further the debate would be a welcome change YA!

P.S. I get a lot of thumbs down from people, without many people challenging my logic.

I have never seen a correlation between intelligence and politics. Politics has always been a subject which evokes visceral responses in people. Take any situation which is charged with emotion and you find a lot of irrational behavior. This is just the way life is. Personally I would like to see more discussion of issues, but you don't find this in many face to face political discussions so there is no reason to be surprised that you don't find it on an internet political forum.

Yes.... You are correct. Y/A and all internet message boards are is entertainment. Anybody who thinks that a presidential political campaign will be decided by the side with the cleverest banter on Y/A is mistaken. I don't take Y/A too seriously. I enjoy the slash and burn from both sides.

The one thing that Y/A does do for me is to give me some sense of how people with opposing points of view deduce their conclusion and support thier positiions.

It's essentially because their are so many kids playing on YA. They know nothing and are constantly trying to prove it.

YA is fine once school goes back in session and the silliness and vulgarity diminish.

Can you imagine what poor teachers have to put up with?

  • 1 decade ago

Yahoo has only themselves to blame for that. They canned the discussion forums 4 years ago that would have kept the crap off the answers site, so people are abusing this instead.

You are so right. No one wants real answers here.It is used for a forum to attack each others candidate character.
