Technically, abortions were never legalized. No, Roe vs Wade does not count (Art., 1, Section 1), and the US Supreme Court is not the law of the land, (Art., VI).

Laws are made by the people for the people. Nobody wants unwanted child, when it happens people will go for abortion. It is safe to abort it under medical supervision rather than some other means. Laws have tried to make alcohol illegal but was a failure... the same will be for abortion.
