body lift 07 wrangler?
Im in the process of installing a 1" body lift. Im having trouble removing the factory body bolts. They unscrew almost to the end ., them just turn without coming out. It feels like it if free of the threads but something is holing the bolt in. Like a clip that turns with the bolt. Im a but afraid that i wont get the new bolts tight. And whatever holds the nut tight, whether it be a clip of a welded hut is sealed inside and imposible to get to. Anyone know whats in there and how do i get the bolts to come out
I already have a suspension lift. and The reason i have no interest in a 2 or 3 inch lift is i didnt want to get involved with the shift linkage, exaust, brake lines etc. Besides the bigger the body lift the more gap ill have showing. Not to mention its still under warrenty. 1" will do me fine. As far as asking a mechanic...Brilliat. thanx

A one inch body lift? What a pain in the butt to do and not even really get a thing from it. You wont even notice it. If you are going through the trouble of doing that, you might as well do a 2 or 3 inch lift so you will really see the difference and get some actual clearance from the tires and frame.....
........Sorry that you are having trouble with the bolts, but you should ask a Jeep mechanic at a dealership if that is normal for that to happen with the bolts and if he has a suggestion for you or not.
I know that it is probably a dollar, $$, reason for the body lift, but coil spring spacers are cheap and way, way much easier to do. You may need longer shocks, but it is really worth it to go the spring spacer route. No fighting with bolts and making sure that the body is straight and things are lined up and that you don't stretch wires and whatnot. Sometimes with a body lift, you will need to make sure the fan don't hit the fan shroud and that the gas filler tube has to be moved or lengthened. All kinds of thing can be a problem, but with a 1 inch body lift, everything should be OK, but you never know. The newer vehicles have such close tolerances and everything fits so tightly together.
The best of luck with your project.
I hope it all works out for you.

i'd ask a mechanic, preferrably one who works at the nearest jeep dealership. i'm sure they'd be able to tell you how to remove them.
