Personally I think my breeding days are over.
But I could make an exception for number 5......

1. Clint Eastwood...must I explain?
2. First one listed..except for a little sickle hocked, nice angles and form.
3. Toss up between the Draft and the Andalusian (it is an Andalusian, right?) Anyway, they are both awesome...the mane alone on the one is worth it's weight in gold.
4. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th horses all have conformation flaws that put them out of the running for me.
5. The little daschound (sp?) version of a curly horse just seems morally wrong to produce...poor guy.

To me...
1. built downhill and I don't like the short upright rear pasterns. Don't know if he's slightly sickle hocked...or just not squared up.
2. Not bad to me...something just seems 'off'. The back of the horse appears well balanced to me...but it's like the neck is a little long and the head a little big...for the rest of the horse.
3. Splayed out in rear...guessing cow hocked. And I don't like the long pasterns. Neck too short for that body mass.
4. Just don't like where his front legs are placed...what is that...post legged? I don't know...I'm just learning conformation.
5. If I was a broodmare...I'd definitely pick him! WHINNEY!!! NEIGH NEIGH!
6. not qualified to even know if this is good or bad...but he's purdy. Does that count??
7. Is it base narrow or base wide that has the feet closer together than the shouders?? It's one of them. I would have to hire a 'mane comber outer'...went and looked...it's base narrow.
8. What type of 'Arabian' is this?? He's all wrong...no Arabian should be that color.
So...my personal choices for breeding would be...

A lot of these depend on what breed or discipline you like. I like eventing, and I don't like overmuscled halter horses. I'd also have to consider the mare's flaws, and select a stud to augment her. My order of preference:
#3 - Good balance, nice clean neck and throatlatch, good topline. I think it's the perspective that makes his neck look a bit short. I don't care for the length of the pasterns, but overall he looks a good hunter prospect.
#4 - Please somebody adjust that halter... I like this horse. His head and neck are really upright, but he has a balanced, athletic look to him that screams eventer at me.
#2 - Well balanced, good topline except I don't like the steep croup. His neck is a bit thick, especially through the throatlatch, and ties into his chest lower than I like.
#7 - Beautiful head, mane, tail. Cigar shaped, unconditioned body without muscle definition or balance. Not for me.
#1 - Built downhill - a major fault. Good balance, but that posty back leg with the straight short pastern and tiny foot isn't big enough for the muscle mass.
#6 - His neck is tied into his wither so far back there's no where for a saddle. Not my type.
#5 - I'd need a good conformation shot without the tack on... ;)
#8 - No way, no how.

first stud: slightly downhill and too upright in the pastern, shoulder slopes too steeply and posty back legs.
2nd: lovely color, long in the back and short in the croup
3rd: neck looks awkwardly short and head is undersized on this horse. I'm also not a fan of his topline - not enough wither.
4th: downhill, too upright in the hind pasterns and just not my style of horse
5th: ooooh yeah... I get it now.
6th: I suck at evaluating drafties, but here goes: looks like a weak hind end and too blocky of a head
7th: purty mane and tail... now if only I could see past that
8th: he's my favorite but wow!! haircut!!
So I would breed to:
5
5

5 hehehe
honestly I didn't mind the first stud.

1- I can't seem to put a figure on it, but there is something about him I just don't like.
2- like him a lot, good conformation, coloring, etc...
3- who breeds to that?
4- don't like his back, pretty color...
5- this one has perfect conformation, an ideal stud for anyone, if your breeding defiantly consider.
6- I don't really like his head, and his hair cut is awful...
7- I'd like to see his butt, but he is pretty...they should wack off some of his tail though...
8- wouldn't recommend it...

These are all nice examples of quality specimens... (for the most part anyway - #3 is not stallion material, but would make a nice gelding)
Personally # 5 is my favorite.
I would ABSOLUTELY breed to that!!!
Edit - LOL to some of these answers!

1: does not really turn my head. Looks to "halter" bred. Of absolutely no use to me.
#2: like this one o.k.
#3: like this one o.k.
#4: NO!
#5: Never did care for the looks of that one, but would DEFINITELY breed to this one!
http://www.cowboysindians.com/articles/archives/11... *wink* *wink*
#6: Like o.k.
#7: Like o.k.
#8: This one I really like. It could drop a few lbs., but other than that, that is an eye catcher...

-Typical QH - pretty until you get down to those straight pasterns and tea cup feet.
-I would need to see his pasterns, but nice overall.
-Alpo prospect
-Attractive, modern style gaited horse (probably TWH)
-Excellent shoulders, very masculine, good musculature.
I would take home #5.
-Not my cup of tea.
-He'd be stunning if he didn't toe in.
-This must be one of those Welsh Corgi Ponies.
lol - that was fun!

1- nice hind quarters and cannon bones
2- Great coloring && proportions
6- nice cannon bones and confirmation
3- good size neck and shaped back... head is a little too small for body
4- Good build and legs but narrow barrel
7- Good looking coat mane etc but very short cannon bones
8- Adorable, very cute but big head and short body
Couldn't See #5! Sorry!
