Curious Curious Curious....?

Isn't funny how you ask a simple "why" question, and people answer with "I can do it if I want" and "I have a right to." It isn't like you challenged anyone's right to be here - you just aksed what the appeal is.

I come here because I don't receive enough attention in the Royalty section.

EDIT: Your added details could just as easily ask why, when an atheist has a question, do Christians tell them to "Read the Bible" or answer with miles of copy/past text.

There's nothing helpful from such an answer, just as there is nothing to be gained from stating that there is no god.

But this is a public forum, a place to ask questions or discuss things of a spiritual and religious nature. We will always receive answers we aren't looking for, but as reasonable, responsible people, we should be able to look past that. Don't you agree?

A) its a free country (so far, for the most part)

B) if there was a pagan section, the christians would come in and bother us anyway.

C) this is religion and SPIRITUALITY. One does not have to have a religion to be spiritual.

D) A lot of people come in here asking for opinions, they should not have to receive ONE SIDED answers if they are looking for unbiased questions. They can choose to ignore whatever answer they do not like.

The reason for coming here, as an atheist, is curiosity! It's the same like with all those common people visiting the "Royalty" section!

And by the way, if there were a section for atheists and non believers only, I bet it would be flooded with religious people as well, telling atheists they are bound for hell.

Anyway, when anyone asks a question, he or she should be prepared for any sort of answers, not only for the ones he or she wishes to hear.

With members of our government attempting to run the country and take away some of our freedoms based on *their* personal religions - you don't understand why atheists and others of differing faiths who you would classify as "non-believers" are concerned with religious values?

This is a section for all who wish to ask questions and offer their answers on religion and spirituality, so there is going to be diversity here.

If you are a true believer in God - then does an atheist stating their opinion that "there is no God" change your mind or harm you in any way?

If you are struggling with your faith but still feel that you are on the right religious path, why not turn to a group of your peers, or your church?

Personally, I come here to learn more about others and their viewpoints on the various different religions. I don't always hear what I'd like to hear, but that's life. My time here has actually helped to strengthen my faith that I am on the right spiritual path for me - but I still think it is important to learn about others and try to better understand our differences.

I'm an atheist. I don't believe in any gods or prophets.

I am already a member of a forum where other non-believers and I chat about things. I come here to answer others' questions to the best of my ability.

This is the Religion and Spirituality section. It is not just for the religious and spiritual. Anyone can discuss these topics.

And some atheists are religious or spiritual, Ex: Buddhists, Taoists.

Lol RedQueen...If they made a "Christian" section, I would probably still come here instead. All have the right to be here. It would be a pretty boring world if we all thought the same anyway, kind of like a bad episode of stepford R&S. Love one another...God Bless

This section is about religion & spirituality, not FOR the religious and spiritual.

it's a bit akward. but we have some movie theatres where you can order drinks. and there's a decent size table between seats. so...if you're drinking, and not sitting too close. i usually feel alright. but i don't think i'd go to a normal one with just a guy. why go with just a guy when you could both bring a girl??
