The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya?
I dont really understand the order of it....could someone tell me how the real order is so i can watch the anime.
Im on the episode where The SOS Brigade goes to a remote island and they find a dead guy. Could you guys tell me what episode number that would be, and the corrdct order of the whole anime.

You can choose how it's listed.
Based on the broadcast order, this is how they are listed -
Broadcast ("Kyon order"):
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14
Chronologically ("Haruhi order"):
2, 3, 5, 10, 13, 14, 4, 7, 6, 8, 1, 12, 11, 9
DVD Order:
1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 13, 14, 4, 7, 6, 8, 12, 11, 9
I, personally, watched it in chronological order. xD I admit that I regret it, though. It's definately more fun to watch it in the broadcast order. There's a lot more surprises and suspense.
And the episode you're on is either "Remote Island Syndrome Part 1" or "Remote Island Syndrome Part 2". Both episodes are in the same remote island arc, so I can't tell which one from the information you've provided. Sorry. ^_^;
"Remote Island Syndrome Part 1" is episode 6 in broadcast order, 9 in chronological, and 10 on the DVD.
"Remote Island Syndrome Part 2" is episode 8 in broadcast, 10 in chronological, and 11 on the DVD.

The first answer actually explained the order, but I just wanted to say that when you watch it, I suggest either watching it in the original broadcast order (it can be confusing at times but this was how it was meant to be viewed) or watch the first 6 'Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' episodes first (the main story episodes) and then watch the other episodes, when you consider them 'extras' which are not vital to the main story of season 1.

Please watch it in the broadcast order (episodes 1-14 in order). It may be confusing at times due to jumps in episodes times (and even an episode skip). But this is all to save the climactic episode for the end. Where all the drama & all your questions suddenly coalesce into a one satisfying epiphany (there was a reason for the order = genius behind the madness).
Otherwise, if you watch it in chronological (DVD) order, you get the "climactic finish" in the middle of the series where its dramatic impact on the viewer is lessened. And all the remaining episodes essentially become encore filler instead of character "build-up" as in the broadcast order.
