"Needs front end work"?

I saw an ad for a ford taurus, which is what my mom has and I love to drive it. What exactly could this usually involve? Ive got the money for the car now, but I don't actually have my license, but if all goes well I could buy it, and later on get the work done. Is it even worth asking about?

It could be anything from bad struts to the steering rack and pinion assembly or anything in between. You need to find out exactly what is wrong.

Front end work on a front wheel drive car, like the Taurus, is expensive. If it's front end suspension, that's expensive too. You need to find out in detail exaclty what needs work. Unless the price is right, I'd stay away from this car. It could be the repairs it needs will cost close to what the car is worth. And that may be why the current owner isn't fixing it.
