Patten or Henderson for Colston?

I have Marques Colston and he just went down with a torn thumb ligament (out 4 to 6 weeks). Both David Patten and Devery Henderson are on the waiver wire. Which one should I pick up to replace Colston while he's out?

Someone has to pick up Colston's touches for the New Orleans WRs. I was also thinking of Terrence Copper. But, I think he does mostly kick returns these days.

I'm leaning toward Henderson. What do you think?

Update:

Interesting that someone should mention Eddie Royal. During the Broncos-Raiders game, I e-mailed our Commish saying I wanted to pick up Royal for Nate Burleson (also a starter on my team). Then, yesterday morning, another guy in the league says he also asked for Royal. And, the Commish didn't see my e-mail until yesterday afternoon. So, he gave Royal to the other guy. So, I said fine, I'll take DeSean Jackson. Then I get an e-mail from the co-Commish saying he claimed Jackson the day before. So, now I'm screwed out of both Royal and Jackson by the league commissioners.

Anyway, I'm picking up Hank Baskett for Burleson and I'll probably go with Patten (per that ESPN fantasy article and the majority of your responses - thanks guys). And, I can still hold onto Colston, because I also had to drop Maurice Morris (out a month with a bad knee).

I guess it's a good think Brady was already taken by my second round pick (#3 - I took Westbrook in the 1st round).

    This is tough.

Patten will get more touches, but is not a reliable red zone target. He's 34, and only 5'-10".

Henderson is younger, faster, but also only 5'-11".

Meachum and Copper are the only wideouts they have over 6'.

Henderson looked good last week, is getting good seperation and has played well enough to remain a starter.

Shockey figures to benefit from this mess as much as anyone.

I'm still banking on Henderson for now, and you'll have to monitor Copper/Meachum/Patten. Lance Moore is tiny, but is a playmaker too.

I don't think there is a definitive angle to take in this for now.

I'm assuming someone already snagged Eddie Royal...

I would pick up patten he is the more reliable one, we havnt seen much of Henderson. I had the same issue arise in my league but Patten was taken so I picked up Henderson with my fingers crossed. But Patten more then Henderson, but its really a tough call. you never know how these things may work out.

Based on week 1, I think the best replacement is Henderson. But, it's hard to know for sure. From week to week, I think you could see fairly balanced numbers. I'd lean toward Henderson, personally, but the Saints are pretty well rounded, and you might see a number of those touches actually going to Shockey, since Brees really loves to throw to the TE. I don't think you can make a bad decision, from week to week, one might outperform the other based on the matchups.
