Would you capitalize western in western Kansas?

    No, because "western Kansas" isn't a proper noun. Western just describes a part of Kansas.

    jm, no, cuz it just tells a part of it Kansas, like, south, north or east. If it was a sports team or proper noun (like The Western Kansas Kernels), it would need to be capitalized. Hope this helps!!!

    No..western is just an adjective describing part of Kansas, It would be like saying "He had Green pants on."
