Other than Sarah Palin, who else thinks war is a task from God?

Yeah, it is who you think.

Update:

"Palin defended a previous statement in which she reportedly characterized the war in Iraq as a "task from God."

Gibson quoted her as saying: "Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God."

But Palin said she was referencing a famous quote by Abraham Lincoln. "

BTW, Osama Bin Laden has said that war is a task from God.

The republicans are now claiming she said she hopes we're on the side of god. They're trying their absolute best to make her sound like Lincoln. Did Lincoln tell people to pray for an oil pipeline too?

Governor Palin is your typical republican. Praying for god's help in killing people, praying for pipelines and praying the gay out of people. They use their religion as a weapon, like using god's name makes all their slimy behavior acceptable.

Remember, our president when asked if he asked his father's advice before 'liberating' Iraq, he said no, he spoke with a higher authority than his father. I have come to believe part of this conflict with Iraq, is a religious conflict. It's our president's belief in his god, versus the muslim belief in their god. Funny thing, both want to kill the other for not believing what they believe. I'm fifty five and I thought I saw it all in the last two elections, how wrong a person can be. I'll say it, you can put lipstick on that pig Palin, but she's still a pig. Anyone willing to stand in front of an audience and television cameras and blatantly lie, is a pig, a lowlife scum, and republicans want to see her become our vice president? My disdain for republicans grows every election cycle. They are so out of touch, being lied to is now acceptable to them. The problem, most of the rest of America is tired of these antics from them.

That's a easy Question, maybe not War, but Bush also said, God told him He wanted him to be President of America. If it was God, why did it take a recount in Fla. to make it come to pass? All news channels already declared Gore the winner but the Republican Party demanded a Recount, with Jed Bush as the Governor of Fla. how could he lose? Palin is just another Republican telling Lies.

(Jeremiah-10-7-25) God tells us in His Word how He deals with Kingdom and Nations, it's not dropping bombs.

she never said the Iraq war was a task from God

what she said was that she hoped God was on our side. Her exact quotes are "Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right also for this country," Gov. Palin said, in a video of the talk posted on the church's Web site. Pray "that our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure we're praying for: that there is a plan and that plan is God's plan."

Osama bin Ladin, obviously thinks the war is because God has told him to destroy the "Great Satan".

Extremists are scary people. That's why it's so necessary to go after them.

Extremists can be from either side of the question. I heard her say that "God sent us into Iraq". She is scary. And nutso.

Answer: A lot of other Republicans think war is a task from God. But not all of them, thank... er... God.

Personally? I believe the teachings of Christ were pretty solidly against war.

Her war views are a bit scary. From what I uinderstand, she believes we should consider a war against Russia as a result of their actions against Georgia. We now have a hockey mom from the middle of noweher within a breath of beginning a nuclear war, apparently.

Palin is a fraud. Republicans act sooo religious then they send innocent kids to go die for the sake of their war on oil to fill their pockets.

I don't believe in any god, so I think it is just an excuse to answer the question they want to avoid or just don't know the answer to. Much like many of the other topics people use a god's existence to explain.
