Baby Take Home Outfit?

I am due Jan. 19th with my first baby (boy!). Can somebody please tell me what I need as far as a winter take home outfit? What would I need to dress him in, in the cold weather? His car seat will have a "bundle me," so how warm do I need to dress him? Please be specific...I am new at this and really have no clue about baby clothes! LOL. I know its early still, but I'd like to start looking so that I can find something really adorable and special! Also, any ideas on where to look? Thanks!

Get a sweet little footed sleeper. You might one that has a hood, or a matching hat to keep his head warm. You'll wrap him in a cozy blanket, too, of course. I don't know what a "bundle me" is, but I assume it's a built-in wrap of some kind.

You should be able to find a cute outfit at any nice department store or baby shop. You might want to wait a couple of months until the winter things are put out in the stores. They will be a more suitable weight for the cold weather in the wintertime.

I'm sure he'll look like a little doll! Best wishes to you and your family.

To have his car seat straps fit correctly you shouldn't do more than 1 or 2 thin layers (like a onesie and shirt and pants). You want the straps to fit snugly with only about a finger able to fit under them so don't go for warm bulk in an outfit. Use your bundle me for warmth.

many people choose to gown the recent toddler in some thing adorably lovable to convey them residing house in. The wellbeing midsection will supply you some white long sleeved shirts to gown the toddler in jointly as you're there, yet they actual do not qualify as "lovable". however, your form new toddler would be lovable to you in something they're donning! you will additionally choose to evaluate the climate on your neck of the woods. gown your newborn the type you're able to gown, yet with an added layer. So if its long sleeves and pants, have a onsie undershirt below. And continuously have a hat on your newborn if its decrease than 70 stages. What they don't many times point out on those lists is the wellbeing midsection photographers will come around and take your toddler's "first" photos and you will probable choose some thing particular for that 2d. I used a blanket my mil had made to place the toddler on (for the historic past) and had him in a lovable outfit for the photograph.

I took a beautiful newborn dressy outfit for my baby that my mom had bought for us. It never fit her because she was born 8lbs 13 oz & 21 1/2 in. long. We ended up putting on a onesie & wrapping her up in 2 blankets from the hospital. We put her on her car seat & buckled her up then took her outside & put her in the car. She was born in March so it was a little cool. Oh, by the way, i was so nervous that day that our nurse helped us by dressing her!!! She was so little & fragile. But a one piece outfit should do, plus i always put a onesie underneath anyway. Good luck!!!

We took our son home in a blizzard the end of October. He wore just a flannelette nightie, tucked into a quilted little bunting bag. He went into a very warmed up car, so that was all he needed.

  • I think a footed sleeper with a onesie underneath would be good! i dont know if you have Meijers where you live but they have lots of adorable winter baby clothes out! congrats!

I brought my babygirl home in a really cute footed sleeper. It's the easiest thing to get on a tiny newborn and will keep your son nice and warm!

A lovely little fleece sleepsuit try NEXT, and a short or long sleeved vest underneath depending on just how cold it is! Good Luck
