The adverts may not be explicitly saying HFCS is good for you, but their tone and the 'facts' they choose to introduce amount to an endorsement. I'm afraid that the idea that HFCS is natural is sheer nonsense when you consider the number of processes it has gone through. Just because the starting point was corn, it does not make it natural. Chemists could make more or less anything from corn if you gave them enough time and money. And the moderation angle is highly suspect: we don't tell smokers to smoke in moderation, we tell them to give up. This is because it's too hard to moderate. Likewise, when HFCS is so ubiquitous in foods, how are people supposed to moderate?
I have created an alternative advertisement that gives the real truth about HFCS - see link below.

I have seen the ad, and they are NOT saying that high fructose corn syrup is GOOD for you. They are just stating that it's not any worse for you than refined sugar. It has the same amount of calories, and is natural (unlike the many sweeteners used today made with a bunch of chemicals). If you're going to eat a diet high is sugar, whether it be white sugar, corn syrup, or honey...you'll gain weight. But a diet in moderation, and you'll be fine.
