Why are people hung up on Universal Health Care in the USA when it?
Will never will cover everyone?
All of the Democrats Candidates this year touted it but new all along millions still would be left without coverage BUT still having to pay a Health Care Tax so others would get it for free. Only to be left paying for it again.
WHY are you not asking Senator Obama to reform Health rather than being taxed?
His plan isn't mandatory to have Health Insurance Coverage but if you work or own a business you will be taxed to pay for those. We already pay for Disabled people and Poor Children. The Senator is looking to give free health Insurance to others but not everyone.
Read the link below and google it for yourself. His plan is a huge Government Tax Increase.
Obama is being misleading when he says his proposal would "cover everyone." It would make coverage available to all, but experts we consulted estimate that 15 million to 26 million wouldn't take it up unless required to do so.
Great responses.
The other thing people don't realize is that Government can't force the Insurance Companies to provide coverage that covers everything.
Senator Mc Cain is willing to open up clinics for those that are unwilling to pay for health insurance. Most other people would fall under Medicade if they only signed up themseleves and their own kids. Go figure. BUT good for Mc Cain as it will keep costs down and people will have a place to go other than the ER.

EXCELLENT question my friend. So many people like to play armchair expert on the Universal Health Care issue (UHC) and they know NOTHING about it.
Twenty years ago, I became very seriously ill with kidney failure and was placed on dialysis to keep me alive. 1 year and 3 months after that I had a successful transplant so I do understand how the system works since I been thru it because of real life experience. Does our current health care system have serious problems associated with it. Of course, it does. However, UHC has its own set of serious problems of its own. You are so right about the simple fact that not everyone who favors switching over to a UHC system completely understands that he/she might be left out in the cold without any coverage at all. It is sad that so many people have reached the point of such intense frustration they want to give up on our current system and just switch over to UHC simply because they just figure change is good. This is simply not the case. Canada's system has serious flaws in it and some Canadian doctors have said publicly that Americans are making a big mistake by seriously considering making the switch. Many Canadian citizens have come across the border at their own expense so they can beat their cancerous tumors by being treated in an American hospital. Canada has very long waiting lists for gov't approval for those people who seek life saving surgery and even a simple test such as an MRI or CAT Scan.
I wish more people here would wake up and smell the coffee over this very important issue. Obama supporters simply don't get it and never will.

I agree. People have, thus far, been blinded by the idea of a reform, without actually looking at how it would affect them.
The Universal Health Care plan, as is is proposed now, would be a really bad idea for most of the voters, even those who are trying to see the positive in it.

How are they going to pay for it any way. Any raise in taxes needs to go to the deficit, or I guess we will just keep the national debt growing. Hey China will you provide us with health care? We'll getcha back later.
