Can Obama edge out Sarah Palin? Are White Women Democrat Hillary Supporter going to forgive Obama? ?

We know that Palin will replace an old 72yr old Mc Cain maybe during the first term if Palin gets elected.

White Women are willing to sacrifice everything for her including their allegiance to the Democrats, abortion rights, the separation between State And Religion as defined by our founding fathers

First off, it's still Obama/McCain. he ain't dead yet. second, have you seen McCain's mother? she's still around. Third, Palin is window dressing so far. The party seems hellbent on keeping her from saying too much on the meat of the issues. this is also delaying McCain from having to lay his cards down as well. Seems the only one who wants scrutiny of his plans is Obama but without the others playing the same game it doesn't do us much good.

I have a lot of love for feminists, but I am going ask some tough questions.

How will Sarah Palin being the first female US president go over?

Will that kill any impetus to get Hillary elected?

Will Palin flop? If so, would that hurt future Female candidates chances by reinforcing the image that some have that women "aren't ready" or "aren't capable"?

It seems to me that there are about a dozen female Dems who have a legit shot of winning the Dem nomination in 2012. If Palin becomes president and sucks it seems like it might be 20-30 years before another woman gets a shot.

It is the flip side of the Obama arguement. If you elect a green candidate like Obama and he does poorly, he could reinforce negative stereotypes and hurt future black candidates.

Likewise if you elect a candidate who has only presided over a state enjoying a huge temporary financial boom fueled by $4 a gallon oil prices and $230 Million of republican federal earmark largess --- essentially a disneyland of political landscapes --- FOR ONLY 20 MONTHS and doesn't know what the VP does, hasn't heard of ANY of the concepts called the "Bush Doctrine", casually throws out that we might need to go to war with Russia, has only been out of North America once, and doesn't know any foreign heads of state...(I think any clear thinker can see the odds are stacked against her succeeding at this point in her career.) you might see some (admittedly unfair) blowback on future female candidates.

I am a white, woman, Democrat who did support Hillary at first but changed to Obama after she began her negative campaign, Her campaign was nice and sweet compared to the McCain campaign. I do not understand how women who supported Hillary can consider voting for McCain/Palin. There is no comparison between Hillary and Palin. If the women actually supported Hillary they should consider her wishes and not just vote for a party because there is a woman on the ballot. That is an insult to all women. We will have other chances with women who are qualified and reflect the ideals and beliefs of our country.

i think of many extremely joyful White Hillary Democrat women human beings will vote for Palin because of fact they actually need to assist their sisters. particular they're very desperate to have a woman in maximum appropriate place. i do no longer understand if Hillary will run returned. McCain isn't 72, he's 27.

Dont think Obama can beat anyone now. Maybe after 8 yrs of McCain Palinand Palin then runs for VP, by that time he might have some experience doing something -- other than memoir writing.

I would like to believe that white women are smart and saavy enough to vote on issues, rather than similar body parts or that they "see" themselves in Palin. What good is that if Palin's policies set women back 100 years?

Clinton supporters are going for Obama, not McCain. Palin is an conservative extremist why would Clinton's liberal supporters want her in office?

  • 1 decade ago

McCain might as well withdraw-- seems like everyone thinks Palin is running for president......................................

This is one white woman that wants no part in voting Palin to VICE PRESIDENT --choosing her was only because she was a female- (and possibly because she is younger than his wife) and he likes her looks.

Sarah Palin IS the Republican base.

They should not forgive Obama, he NEVER even considered Hillary as Veep.

    Source(s): 1 + Obama = 1 1 - Obama = 1 1 X Obama = 0 1 / Obama = Error
