If a god like being appeared before you and told you your beliefs were wrong, what would you do?

I'd say "Q, you sneaky god-like entity you! Get bored of tormenting Picard and his underlings? Then c'mon and we''ll hit the town, let's paint the town red! No, not litera- oh. Never mind..."

Despite the fact that it would not be rational to do so, I am irrational enough that I would seriously question my beliefs. (I say it's probably not rational because odds are that I was delusional, or being duped in some way that I didn't understand.) All it would take is someone to successfully complete the James Randi challenge and I'd reevaluate a lot of my assumptions about the universe.

I'd say, no you're wrong and leave it at that.

Demonstrations are usually illusory, so I would demand an immediate end to all human disease, on the spot. And to make sure, all wars cease forever.

I have higher standards for a god than most.

Rebuke him in the name of Jesus - and he would run.........

"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."

Every word from the mouth of God is valid and builds for us an understanding of who He is and what He can do and what is Truth.

The words of any being seen or heard must be compared to the Word of the LORD to judge their validity. My God, Yahweh, speaks only Truth. He defines Truth. Every word from His mouth will accomplish that for which it went forth.

Define Godlike as based on the Bible definition of God. Any spiritual being, including angel, that speak against the Word of God are of the devil. They do exist as spiritual entities but are not holy, but evil. They are for your destruction and should be resisted in the name of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross was their ultimate defeat. It paid for man's sin. Jesus Christ / Yeshua Ha Mashyiach is the LORD.

Galatians 1:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

They'd have to give more proof than magic tricks, just because they say God doesn't exists and do magic, doesn't mean that God doesn't exist.

Ask for some form of proof that it was actually the one, and only alleged "God"
