How many women will vote for Palin simply because she's a woman?

I'm just curious about this. I had never even heard of Sarah Palin. I bet there are a lot of people who never had and then suddenly she's the VP candidate. Seriously girls, what makes Sarah Palin better than any other Republican option for VP?

Update:

I know that McCain is running for president you dumb@ss. What I'm wondering is if having a woman on the ticket will be a swing factor for the female vote, which I thought you people who seem to be of above average intelligence would gather. Never mind. I'll rephrase for the slightly below average mind.

HOW MANY WOMEN WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN BECAUSE OF THE FEMALE VP CHOICE?

Alot. Just like 99.99999% of the black population will vote for Obama without any regard for his policies.

You could be right in that statement, but they really aren't interested in the country if McCain can't make the full 4 years. I'm sure that the big boys in the Republican party aren't happy with McCain and his selection, even if it was to get the votes that Hillary had. Sarah Palin is a mix of everything some people want to hear about, but like a kid wants to be a friend to everyone, but doesn't really know what they want.

No doubt........many women will vote for (McCain) -Palin BECAUSE Palin is a women. No, not all women and no, certainly not all HILLIARY supporters, because I have far too much respect for women in general, to think they are so dumb to fall for this see thru trick.

But having said that..........there wre alot of HILLIARY supporters, who weren't really "for" Hilliary at all either......and just wanted a WOMAN.

Let's all be honest.......some feminists just want a WOMAN to break that glass barrier already.

I also know mnay people who have said they WON'T vote for McCain >>>because<<<< of Palin............

and yes, I am sure some of that is because thy think she is unqualified........and surely some of that is sexism......they don't want woman to break that glass barrier.

Personally.......I am more concerned about her evangelical views than her gender.

It's been said that if she were a MAN........she would have never been picked.

I think there's ALOT of truth in that.......she is the female Pat Robertson and NOBODY wanted him for president.........and elevating her to the VP spot........puts her a heartbeat away from the PRESIDENT's seat.

    That's scary.

The rest is all fodder for blog sites and talking heads and doesn't matter.

People talk about "experience"......and look at Bush......what was he qualified at to get the job? He was a miserable failure at every stage of his business life, before getting a job as Governor, because his daddy was president.

I am sure Palin would do........but with her views........No thank you.

Why vote for them on account of her in the first place? Even the womens organizations are voting for Obama / Biden. McCain used to be a great politician then he sold out to Bush and Rove. McCain didn't even want her in the first place he wanted turncoat Lieberman. Rove told him he couldn't choose him. So he chose Palin thinking he would steal Democratic womens votes just because she was a woman. He failed to realize we are smart enough not to fall for that tripe. As you can see now the Palin choice is fizzling out.

There is no way to vote for Palin, because she isn't running for anything. She gets in if McCain is elected.

Vice Presidential candidates do not run against each other. There is no VOTE for Vice President. You vote for a President, and that's that.

I'm not voting for Palin. She's not running for President and there IS no separate option to vote for VP candidates. In this election, Palin's along for the ride, and so is Biden.

But I AM voting for McCain, so I guess Palin comes with. OK with me.

Obama is simply unacceptable for the highest office in the country. We all deserve better.

Get US out of the UN: I would be glad just to get the UN out of the US. I worked in Manhattan for many years, and those I've seen those scumbugs get away with FORCIBLE RAPE because they claimed diplomatic immunity. They are lowlifes.

it variety of feels to me a starting to be variety of that Sarah Palin is somewhat very comparable to George Bush basically somewhat greater unusual. So specific, I do think of that's going to shift simply by fact Palin isn't as much as interest. As a woman that cares approximately ladies's rights, i could incredibly vote for Joe Biden who whilst chair of the Judiciary wrote the legislations to illegalize violence against ladies than somebody who's frightened of the media and could basically supply interviews to friendly newshounds no longer answer all the questions the yankee people have. what's she going to do whilst she has to symbolize us conceal under the table and deliver out some clone?

A lot women will vote for her just for the simple fact she is a woman and not her true track record, people educate yourselves before you vote, look at these people records of voting and comments, etc. I'm a woman and I will give her because she is a woman she simply has a lot of things that need to revealed about her before she gets my vote, put all out on table for everyone to see and to give a educated vote.

Not if they have the ability to think and reason:

Obama/Biden are supportive of and McCain/Palin are against:

    A woman's right to choose

    Women's Pay Equity

Expanded healthcare for women's health issues

    Fighting domestic violence

    Child Care

Paid leave for family and medical

the list does go on (see that the N.O.W who usually doesn't endorse just endorsed Obama/Biden)

McCain has repeatedly voted against funding for Domestic Violence legislation. Biden co-authored the VAWA (Violence against women act) which is one of the strongest acts to date to give protection to victims of domestic violence.

    See http://women.barackobama.com/page/content/WFOhome for more info.

As far as other options I'd say the following:

    Kay Bailey Hutchinson (TX)

    Olympia Snowe (ME)

    Susan Collins (ME)

    Jodi Rell (CT)

    Elizabeth Dole

If he truly valued a woman as a VP candidate he would have picked one that had the chops and experience to be President - that is the job of the VP. He pandered to the religious conservatives that have ruined the Republican party and driven a wedge in between the two parties (Dems and Repubs). This woman is so not ready to be the VP - they even had to tailor the debate process so she wouldn't have to answer too many questions, or speak for too long.

True, a lot of women will vote now for the McCain/Palin party; however, they are making the right choice in the end! I personally am not voting for her because of her gender, but for her views. I find it funny that Palin is more qualified as a VP than Obama is, and he is running for president.

Seems like quite a few will, they think she looks good and is strong because she hunts. What few women have taken the time to do is take a look at how her politics affect women and families. Try looking up the National Organization for women. Supporting women does not mean electing any woman.

I should hope any woman would use her brain rather her gender to make such an important decision. That's like pointing out that a man might vote for her using his private part as a deciding factor.
