My sister's cats sometimes groom eachother..?
I know this means that they love each other and that they are bonding, but I'm a little worried because one of the other cats sometimes forces the other to be cleaned when she is obviously against it. She opposing cat will whine and hiss, and the other cat will not let her up and she will look up sometimes at nothing, a little crazy like. Ha ha. Is it normal for cats to force groom?

We had two kittens who were sisters - from the same litter. One died suddenly even with the vet involved - we think it was from the tainted China food a year and a half ago. They were about 9-10 months old at the time.
We brought home a kitten a few weeks later who was about 3 months old. It took a few days of keeping her in the bathroom so that our 10 month old puppy and the other kitty could get used to her scent.
We brought her into the hall, wrapped in a towel so she wouldn't scratch us or the pup and other kitty. The other kitty immediately went up to the kitten sniffed her and then started cleaning her. The kitten protested but our older kitty insisted that she needed to be groomed whether she liked it or not!
It was very maternal. It reminded me of when we had a litter of kittens when I was a kid. The mother cat would hold or pin the kittens down and groom them whether they liked it or not when she felt they weren't up to her grooming standards!
Just be sure that the other kitty is not biting or hurting her. Are they both neutered?
I was very surprised at how rough they can sometimes play. We sometimes would separate them if they were getting rough and would feel sorry for one because we thought she was being bullied. Then 10 minutes later the one who we thought was bullied was busy chasing the other one around!
When the cat looks up "a little crazy like" - I've seen that look - I think it's just satisfaction that they have done a good job. They sometimes will continue with grooming the other one for a while or start grooming themselves a little more at that point.
Enjoy them! Have fun!
Added: I just remembered something you might find helpful. When we first got them, we had to travel back and forth about 5 times to relatives out of state. Both kitty's were in the same large carrying case.
The little one would sometimes start to get scared or cry and the older one would immediately pull her toward her with her paw and start licking her face and grooming her. The little one would become quieter and it would calm her. It was definitely a "mothering" type of thing.

My cats do this too. Only one to the other. If he doesn't like it he gets up and walks away. Sometimes they have arguments as well. Not sure if force grooming is normal tho.

They are having fun and sometimes cats hiss to play around if she smacked or clawed the other cat than let her, trust me cats are more simple than you think =D

I have 2 boy cats who do this all the time and then they start fighting/playing. It's so cute and it's always nice when company comes over and the boys are in the corner one on top of the other biting ears and licking each other. yea, we're normal!

well if one cat is older than the other she may just be showing affection and care as if she was taking care of a younger sibling or a daughter :)
i think this is normal since most wild animals do this too :)

oh yeah. I don't really understand it, but I see it happen a lot with my two boys and then my rescues. I've seen mother cats slam their kittens down, pin them down and clean them before. It concerned me at first but then I realized they weren't actually hurting the other one...

Haha! Yup! That's normal, usually they hiss when they're playing. So probably they're just playing with each other. As long as they're not hurting each other then there's no problem.

yes, it's a sort of instinct for them.
here's a website that may help explain a bit about it.
