Is anyone else getting the impression that voting for Obama is voting something for yourself and be damned eve?

How American is that? What ever happened for the good of the nation...not just the middle class, the wealthy, the poor, the minorities, the women? Benjamin Franklin said democracies fail the minute the people realize they can vote themselves some money.

I would love a tax cut, but not at the expense of ANY other American. I want us ALL to pay lower taxes.

Where does ANYONE get off telling people who have money that poor people have a RIGHT to some of their money? THEY DON'T.

I don't have any money. But I am not entitled to anyone else's.

And if we vote Obama in, we're ASKING for war whether or not we want it.

Well Bush just bailed out companies that were out and out fraudulent with everyone money and they are walking away rich.He also just gave Spain 50 billion and do we know what that was for? The minute someone wants to help us the people you Start hollering socialists but these corporations just walked away with the whole cookie jar,we have no way of knowing it won't happen again Remember S&L?? I do.And just one of the ceo took away more than you will make in your lifetime as a bonus how is that for helping Americans? So yeah at this point in time with everything I need getting higher and higher,I say keep the money and help the real people not the wealthy they don't worry about gasoline,or Energy prices,or a budget at the supermarket.

They give there ages away a lot. They are easy to spot and follow. So the problem I' have is why does Y/A allow those not old enough to vote in the elections section. They should have to re-register to get into this section. Provide a valid voters registration card number, or stay out.

Years ago I had a conversation that went like this, I'm voting for Soandso, we reall need him at this time.

Other person: But if you vote for xxanso you husband will get a raise won't he?

Yes, he would, but xxanso isn't good for the Community.

Other person: Stop your nonsense, take care of your family first.

She and I never spoke of politics agin. I voted for the best person for my community...,.Soandso...she was very angry with me.

We need to vote as citizens first, but it will benefit us to keep our money for our own designation rather than have it donated right out from under us.

We are not discussing a police department raise, we are talking about Socialist programs that could cripple our government.

Voting for Obama is all about building many things that conservatives claim to be interested in: citizenship, security, the future, education, our children. Bush has been about capitalism for profit and socialism for loss. Free market ideas and the fear of moral hazard (real issues) were promoted until major financial institutions were in harm. Now, their losses are being socialized but the income, earned by those made a decade of incompetent decisions, is going to be safe.

Obama is not about class warfare. He's about creating institutions that will benefit all Americans. Bush and McCain are about policies that benefit the top 5% and leave the other 95% to pay the bills.

I have never thought of voting for someone who promises me any thing personally. I will always vote for the person who I think will help the country as a whole and will bring the entire nation into a better era.

That is why I am voting for McCain, he promises known policies that work and don't have long term negative affects.

Yes, I'm voting for Obama so I don't have to see our nation get into another preempted war. I'm voting for cooler heads to prevail when it comes to foreign relationships than what I feel McCain and Palin are able to achieve. I'm voting for Obama because I'm tired of seeing our infrastructure falling apart, our national debt grow, our jobs going overseas and the world hating us more and more with each year.

Your explanation's confusing, anyhow, am an Obama supporter, and i wud rather vote him and be unsure of what he has to offer (50/50) than vote for McCain who am sure he's driving us further into the ditch

What? I can't even tell what you are asking. I get the impression that voting for Obama is a great idea.

So, does that mean you're not voting for Sen Obama?
