What is your favorite Christian hymn?
I know, I'm an atheist. Still I enjoy quite a few Christian hymns. My favorite is "A Mighty Fortress is our God".

"I'll fly away"
That's song sounds good no matter how you sing it. I've heard bluegrass versions, barbershop quartet versions, and the standard hymnal version, and it's just one of those songs I want to sing along with every time I hear it.
I'm also down with just about any bluegrass gospel music...
I'm an atheist too btw, I've run into a lot of questions about music here. I think you might be surprised at how many atheists have a favorite hymn or religious artist.

I love that as well.
In the 4th verse of that we find that Martin Luther was a Pentecostal.
tr. Frederic Henry Hedge, 1853
A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing;
Our helper He amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing;
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and pow'r are great,
And armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not His equal.
2. Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God's own choosing;
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabboth, His name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
3. And tho' this world, with devils filled,
Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph thro' us;
The prince of Darkness grim,
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
4. That word above all earthly pow'rs,
No thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours Thro'
Him who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also;
The body they may kill:
God's truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.
Another favorite of mine is, "AND CAN IT BE THAT I SHOULD GAIN?"

because of words, "Come Thou Fount of each and every Blessing" ranks ideal up there for me: O to grace how great a debtor on a regular basis I’m constrained to be! permit Thy goodness, like a fetter, Bind my wandering coronary heart to Thee. vendors to wander, Lord, i think it, vendors to circulate away the God i like; right here’s my coronary heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above. Ahh, Jackie, I could have found out you have been in simple terms having a "mocking 2d". My apologies for taking the question heavily.
