Most intriguing World Series matchup?

I am not a huge baseball fan, but I do follow it and I am getting more and more into it every year. That being said, which do you think is the most intriguing potential World Series?

My vote is for the Rays and the Cubs. Imagine the Cubs, and their century plus quest for a championship against the feel-good Rays and their decade and a half of atrocity competing for all the marbles. And how bad would it be for Cubs fans if they were to fall to the Rays?

Red Sox vs. Cubs. It would be a great match up between 2 teams with huge fan bases (some real, some wagoneers). 2 teams that lost for so long. Its probably the match up the Selig and the MLB are hoping for.

  • Mets and the Angels could be my first pick.

But with the Sox's chances of clinching the title in arrears but not completely ruled out, there is a chance still, if the Mets and Angels are out of the postseason early in the Division Series playoffs and the Championship Series, that there could be a Subway Series still between the Sox and the Cubs. This is because I heard that the Diamondbacks of Arizona had been eliminated from the postseason tonight. It is glad that the Cubs won't face the Diamondbacks in their first postseason games.

The last time a subway series happened was, I guess, 1991, when the Mets faced the Yankees.

dodgers and red sox. manny against his former team

the rays i find boring to watch. they have no experience on there team, they strike out a ton. there pitchers are decent but could be one hit wonders with one good year. i like underdogs but the rays are like josh hamilton. there story was nice but after you hear it the third and fourth time its just like shutup already. and no im not a red sox or yankees fan
