Did McCain really call his wife the "c-word" ?

You know the one. Rhymes with punt.

I heard he called his wife that and said she wore too much make-up in front of reporters, and then blamed the outburst on having "a long day."

Is this true? If so, when did it happen?

I'm a Mc Cain supporter. If he did say that to her that's wrong. I will have to say though. His wife and daughter do strike me as a couple of high maintenance snobs as does Laura Bush. However even if they are that doesn't mean they deserve being called the C- word.

Supposedly in 1992 and if it were in front of reporters it will be substantiated.

I fail to see how this matters though in the grand scheme of things...

Like I said abotu Bill Clinton...we chose him to run the nation, not be husband of the year.

I think that thought applies here

    yes, but that's fine.

When you are a moral right winger you can get along with just about anything.

    Calling your wife a c^#!

    Having a pregnant, unmarried daughter

Dumping the responsibility of your handicapped child

Voting against the best interests of our military

He was an officer in the military, that's the way they talk, and he's just a regular person who might say that. So what's the problem? He's aggressive and doesn't pull his punches when he gets angry, which might be a liability being the prez negotiating in dangerous circumstances.

McCain is famous for his short and violent temper, which is something Americans should be VERY worried about.

Yes, but the mainstream media couldn't devote any attention to it because it's such a scandalous word...

So the official answer is "no you can't prove it"...

  • 1 decade ago

I really doubt that is true. I havent heard, so I cant say for sure...but, do you honestly think he would say that in front of reporters?

Yes, but in all fairness, it may be an accurate description of her and her "charming" personality....
