Why are the Democrats suddenly backing President Bush?

And the Republicans are fighting him? Could it be things are simply moving to fast and the facts just aren't clear yet?

Backing President Bush or are they using President Bush? It appears that the Democrats want the bail out however they don't want to be tied to it, that creditable deniability thing and that's why it is so important to them that the Republicans sign on and accept the bail out plan as their own. The Democrats control both houses and should be able to execute this all by themselves if they wanted it so badly, but then they would be stuck with the blame if it doesn't work out. It is a lot like the cruel remark regarding the $#!+ sandwich; it is a lot easier to get rid of if everybody takes a bite....

Well, here's my take, all this economic crisis is really a massive attack by the new world order to shine a spotlight on Obama's credibility and ability to lead this nation so it can be starkly revealed he is unfit to be president..

The republicans do not like it that the flow of kool-aid is out of control, even the dems are siding with Bush to make sure the country receives the right man for the job.

The real conservatives are fighting the pseudo conservatives AKA neocons. Finally! The dems are supporting this measure because it's like offering a drink to an alcoholic, they can't turn down a chance to collect large sums of money even if the request is coming from their nemesis!

I hope this is finally where the two branches of the republican party go different ways and the real fiscal conservatives take back the country from the clutches of the neocon/big government/socialist mutants.

I was thinking the same thing earlier today:

This just killed their MCSame campaign.Yesterdays meeting was a setup for John McCain to look like he wasn't a ready leader, and to make Obama look like He was in Charge. He was given the republican minority plans on a bailout and Obamas first words went to attacking that plan.According to Barney Frank, and Harry Reids comments,McCain only said a few words at the end of the meeting, but It's Funny that those few words ruined the whole deal according to the democrats.I think the left knows the proposed plan stinks and they dont want their name on it only. They already have enough votes to pass it in the senate and the house.

The Repubs are just listening to what the people want, the hundreds of thousands that have written and called in and told them not to sign this bill. Bush is doing this because he feels he has to I really don't know his reasonings, and The Dems? They just need to save face and money since they caused this and are going to lose a lot of money because of it.

Well, since they are responsible for the mess, they are trying to hide behind President Bush, so they can point fingers at him and say we were duped. Sound familiar, sounds like what they said when they were in favor of the war in Iraq and now they aren't . You can't trust this crowd of Democrats.

I hope that is pointed out, but I doubt it. Obama was behind Bush 100%, while McCain fought him on this financial bail out. Obama can't form his own opinion, he just votes like the guy next to him does. And if he can't he just votes present

I am not for the bail out.

Ever since Bush became a catholic, he has been a liberal. It's no wonder why the democrats are supporting him. But why in the world would Obama's supporters be complaining about it when this is what socialism is all about?

Republicans... wanting to wait... until the facts are clear?

    weird?

are these the same guys that rushed through the patriot act? rushed on the Iraq war?

but back to the question... these facts have been becoming more and more clear for years... the economy is tanking (even Bush knows it).. now if Republicans haven't been paying attention... and need some time to catch up... maybe that just shows how well they've been doing their job...

They aren't backing bush they are backing the bailout of their companies. Since the democrats are responsible for the current financial crisis, they are doing anything they can to try and clean it up. Especially since this will affect how much money they get from their special interest groups.
