Med'l advice please? Painful, growing lump in male pubic region; what is it? (details...)?
This lump started about 8-9 days ago, and has grown to the size of a walnut. It is in the upper corner of my pubic hair/region, near to the crease that separates my thigh and pubic region. (I recall that there could be lymph nodes in that region?) I am HIV+, have had swollen glands before, but they always go away in a day or two and this hasn't.
(My t-cells were 600+ 5 mos ago.) It does not appear to be an infected follicle, and cannot be an STD as I am celibate. There is no discerable 'head' to this lump. 90% of it lies below the skin surface, and is about the size of a small walnut. It is painful to palpate, but is not otherwise a constant pain. I worry about lymphoma, or a large pus pocket that might lead to a systemic infection? It is reddened but not especially hot to the touch. I am in a large urban area on vaction for the next 3 weeks, and I'm 2,000 mi away from my regular doc. It's Saturday. What's your best guess as to what this is? Should I go to an ER, or to one of those 'urgent care centers' or keep an eye on it till Monday and call my reg. doc for advice? I'm thinking it needs to be aspirated to see if it's an infection, or a solid mass? Thanks for your thoughts...

You're probably right in that it's a lymph node. They can swell for many and various reasons, infection being at the top of the list. Of course, at the other end of the spectrum you have lymphoma. My advice would be, if you're very uncomfortable, to seek out some medical advice thru a urgent care center of the ER of a hospital. If you're not too badly off you might want to wait until Monday and talk with your own dr. Your HIV status makes me want to lean towards getting some advice now.
I'm really sorry that this has happened, especially on vacation. Hopefully it will not be anything serious and you can have it taken care of and then enjoy the rest of your time off.
I wish you well.

Jesus deffinately superceded all human labels, for Jesus cannot be labeled. He has no boundary but he does has structure. When I say he has no boundary, I mean he can do anything there is no boundary as to the things he can do. There is so many things he did while he was on this earth it would taks a long time to list them but I will list a few. Miracles he preformed - 1. Healings: Offical's son (Jn 4:43-54) demoniac in Capernaum (Mk 1:23-26); Lk 4:33-35), Peter's mother-in-law (Mk 8:14-17); Mk 1:29-31; Lk 4:38-39) Leper (Mt 8:2-4; Mk 1:40-45; Lk 5:12-16) Paralytic (Mt 9:1-8; Mk 2:1-12; Lk 5:17-26) Cripple (Jn 51-9) Shriveled hand (Mt 12:10-13; Mk 3:1-5; Lk 6:6-11) Centurion"s servant (Ht 8:5-13; Lk 7:1-10) Widow's son raised from the dead (Lk 7:11-17 demoniac (Mt 12:22-23; Lk 11:14) He made the blind man see (Mk 8:22-26 Lazarus raised from the dead (Jn 11) And many many more healing miracles he performed. Major Teachings: Sermon on the Mount (Mt chapters 5-7); Lk 6:17-49) to Nicodemus (Jn 3) Samaritan woman (Jn 4) Bread of Life (Jn 6:22-59) At the Feast of Tabernacles (Jn 7-8) Woes to Phrisees (Mt 23, Lk 11:37-54) The Good Shepherd (Jn 10:1-18) Olivet Discourse (Mt 24-25; Mk 13 Lk 21:5-36 Upper Room Discourse (Jn 13-16) Parables - Jesus like to teach in parables which are stories that the people could understand. He taught so many parables that I can't list them. I will list a couple. Sower (Mt 13:3-23; Mk 4:3-25; Lk 8:5-18) mustard seed (MT 13:31-32; Mk 4:30-32) Good Samaritan (Lk 10:25-37) Lost coin (Lk 15:8-10) Rich man and Lazarus (Lk 16:19-31) Wedding banquit ( 22:1-14) Pharisee and tax collector (Lk 18:9-14) Tenants and the vineyard (Mt 21:28-46) faithful servant (Mt 24:45-51) Final commission (Mt 28:16-20; Jn 21:15-23, Acts 1:3-8) Chose his Apostles He was innocent but he died on the cross carring with him the sins of the world so that we might have forgivness of sin. How big is Christ to me? He didn't have to be any bigger than he was and still is. Jesus loved his Father God and he loves us. His whole life has impacted my daily life. Before I do most anything or say anything, I ask myself would I be doing this or saying if Jesus were right beside me? Then I tell myself that he is right beside me for he never leaves me. That is a confortable feeling to know I do not have to make decisions alone, I do not have to worry about anything, I can give him all my problems and he will take care of them. I am truly blessed that I know him and I wish everyone did. He has so many blessing to give us if we would only ask and believe that we have them as soon as we ask. My God is an Awesome God!!! Blessings
