Wow, not a question you here often. My brother loves them too and about the only place he can get them is a butcher shop (one of those mom and pop types). Very rarely can you find them at a commercial grocery store. It's much like turkey necks, tongue and chicken feet - not popular fare but much loved by some!! Good luck on your hunt! Here's a cooking tip - soak them in a brine much like you do a turkey (lots of salt, a bit of brown sugar), rinse, pat dry, lightly flour and fry. Serve with lemon wedges and lots of fresh ground pepper - my brothers fave way of eating them!

i find them at any store that sells chicken. they may be fresh or frozen, or you can buy fresh and then freeze them. they are a cheap meat meal, and if cooked at a low temperature for a long time, are delicious. just like any other organ meat, they are very nutritious and can be had for less money than the more popular cuts of meat

Yes, you can find them in most grocery stores. If you don't see them, ask the meat department clerk. I've never seen them frozen (my mother used to LOVE cooking the things, but I think they're disgusting).

Feeding raw meat is a great idea - but NOT if they are not used to it. If this is a one off then I wouldn't bother. It takes too much change for the stomach to digest raw if they are used to kibble, and you'll probably find they they'll get the runs the next day. If you do cook it and pull off any from the bones (neck) then that would be ok, but not really much benefit.

Gizzards can be found in the chicken section next to the livers in most stores, but,it might be a regional food. I know in the south both the livers and gizzards are breaded and fried.....but,Im not sure if they are typical in the northern states.....
not sure how you intend to prepare them.... They tend to be tough and chewy when breaded and fried.but,my mother [who is french] always stewed them in chicken broth and bayleaf....of confit[stewed in duck fat]for 4 hours ...hey are very tender prepared this way.

Wont hurt them, but might upset their stomachs if they are not used to them. I gave my dogs raw beef ribs, which they all loved, but there was some runny pooh for a day.
