Wheel Bearing on 1999 Chevy Blazer?

Hello, I was told recently that i need to replace the wheel bearing on my front passenger side. Assuming i just need to replace the bearing and not the whole assembly, how much should that job cost? And assuming i need to replace the whole assembly with the bearing how much would that be?

FYI It is a 4 door 2 wheel drive w/ 136,000 miles on it and i've had it for 35,000 miles and have only replaced brakes..

Thanks, best answer gets 10 points

Update:

Also, why does my truck make a clunking noise when i come to a stop? my brakes are good but i was told i'm missing hardware but its not that big of a deal. Could this noise be the bearing?? i've had my idle bar replaced recently.

If you replace the whole assembly new (hub and steering knuckle) it will be expensive don't know how much, the hub bearing alone should cost about $100 to $150 (depending on the brand) and the labor should not be more than $80. The clunking noise can be the missing hardware but not likely, it's probably going to be a bad bushing, have a front end specialist inspect the undercarriage ( I usually charge $25 and if I repair the car that money goes toward the repair).

Right front wheel bearing should run $75 in parts and an hour in labor.

The clunk could be a u-joint in the driveshaft.

it is easyer and cheaper to replace the whole hub with bearing and everything

go to a junk yard and get it from there

if you go to a shop to do it they will charge you for removal and instalation of the hub but not for pressing out the old bearing and installing a new one
