Expiration on an Employment ID Badge?

We are reissuing ID badges at work and were wondering how to do a multi-year badge. We don't want to have to reissue badges every year. Any suggestions?

    easy...

develop a badging system that has a passcode...like when you enter the building you have to scan your badge or enter a four number passcode. this way you can control the expiration of the badges through a operational system.

those who quit and dont turn their badge or for other reasons wont be able to get in because their badge will be turned off, or expired..this is when you can really use the security guards that roam the building..

this is great for security as well as not having to reissue badges every year, you just add on to new employees. i also suggest you keep all the badges one color or do a colorcoding system that identifies what type of employee you are...

alittle expensive if you dont have the turnstiles, but it works!
