Hon, what is on your mind when you climb into bed? Try writing it down. Have a warm - not too hot bath with 1/2 cup bicarb soda in (old fashioned remedy but relaxes your muscles & makes your skin feel fab) . Put on your comy PJ's have a warm cup of milk with honey in it (natural tryptophan - nature's sleep aid). Climb into bed. Make sure your room is not really bright either.

If you still feel rather sleepless, try reading for a little while or listening to "relaxation music". Don't shove your TV on, talk on the phone or put your Ipod on full boom, you'll never get to sleep. Hope that helps you. It's a PIA when you can't sleep.

    Good luck

OK, you want to sleep or stay up? Cause you say both. Your drinking, which will put you to sleep, and depending how much you have had, also make you too impared to drive in a few hours. Be careful. Sleepy+drinking=a super dangerous driver, capable of killing an innocent on the road

A glass of warm milk an hour before bedtime often helps.

Other natural remedies can be found in a web search for "natural sleep remedies".

Try reducing the things that could be throwing your circadian rhythm off. Things like bright lights late at night, eating before bed or working out too close to bedtime.

Also, try to develop a nighttime ritual that you do before going to bed every night. A nice hot bath before bed followed by some relaxing tee and a good book. Something like that.

If you are up at 6am.. and you do not.. take a nap thru out the day.. then.. you shouldn't have a problem falling asleep..

if you do.. check ur diet.. caffeine,, sugar.. etc..

Do not sleep during the day.. stay active.. go to bed around 9pm.. eat early.. get ready for bed around 8pm.. you need your sleep.. not stay up til 12am.. and then want to fall asleep to get up at 6.. the body does not work that way.

    so .. ck ur diet

    stay awake..

eat early and dress for bed early..

    good luck

Drink Nyquil, Eat a banana or two, wash your face with warm water, and when your in bed either read a good novel or listen to some soft music.

Go to your local Wal-Mart, get to the pharmacy section, and find Melatonin. Take one about 81/2 hours before you have to be awake, because it will likely knock you out for at least 8 hours and it takes about 20-30 min. to kick in. You should try it out on the weekend first to know how it will effect you. This has helped me in the past.
