Are Republicans & Democrats the Sunnis & Shiites of the U.S.?

They haven't gotten around to blowing each other up yet, but politcal party polarization is destroying the U.S. like the Sunnis and Shiites are destroying Iraq. Will we ever be able to stop demonizing each other and work towards the common good?

How about Burying each other in 100 dollar bills (not blowing up like the public would like). The fact the Democrats needed to Add 138 Billion earmarks to the already outrageous 700 Billion Dollar bail out bill (sweeteners) to make the Republicans sign it. And back in 1989 Government spent 1.5 billion to bail out Chrysler. People made a big deal about that. Last week USA tax payers ponied up 25 Billion for Ford Chevrolet and Chrysler "Like it is no big deal" Hold on folks were not done yet! Flood the markets with freshly printed Junk Money and every ones buying power will go down. Waste money like its water in two unpopular wars rebuild a country or two Just so the Sunni and Shiites can do what they always have done. Doesn't any of the Iraq work force actually work Pictures from Iraq is 18 to 40 year old men bartering in the streets and complaining all the time. Watch out that might be the USA in 5 years. Men hanging out on poorly maintained street corners looking for something to sell. To Pay Socialism's home Rental/Buy Out plan. Watching more bridges and sewers crumble. And None of the presidential candidates talking about it!

They do work together, behind closed doors to ruin our Nation. Then in public they shift the blame on each other. They have also been effective in driving a wedge between the populace, how anyone can defend either party at this point is beyond me. It is a lesson in brainwashing.

Yes it was the 8 years of Bush that turned us all against each other, eventually he will just be a joke. We are Americans, I think we can manage work this out. Hopefully, we can progress forward and found new parties or realize the other parties out there, ex. Ron Paul. I think if either party fails us this time, we will give up on both parties.

I wouldn't say that exactly. But the Democrats need to step back and look at what's really good for the country instead of promising the moon to everyone who votes for their candidates. The best way to support individual rights is to make our country a strong republic, and the Democrat's platform of empty promises can't begin to guarantee that goal.

i think of they incredibly plenty see us as American infidels who began an unjustified conflict. inspite of the clashes between the two events, the outcomes have subsequently a techniques been the comparable. So i think of they're only drawn to effects which impact them.

The truth seeker is right...I would just like to add...we are just as stupid to lend them our ears and follow what comes out of their mouths.

I love how people say they want to be united.

Then they blame this on Bush.

I would rather not be associated with people like that, but everyone can "CHANGE" right?

I agree. It started when the repubs hijacked religion. Now democrats are not suppose to be welcome in church. United we stand, divided we fall.
