  • Will the stimulus package really benefit you, or anyone for that matter?

If the stimulus package costs $1 trillion and there is 300 million people in the U.S. Every man, woman, and child will owe the government 3333.33$

Adding on the 800$ billion that was passed in October-Novemberish and the 200 or so billion since then, we are at about what.

    6666.66$ owed to the government??

How will a stimulus package investing a couple billion in Home Weathering and Guam dock pollution and dock clean-up among other things benefit you any?

  • Poor losers, how about poor winners?

I see republicans asking questions if they would rather have Bush or Obama and all of a sudden a bunch of hateful things start popping up from democrats, when the question isn't even addressed to them!!

If all you want to do is cause further divide, keep doing it, if you truly want to unite, let the poor losers be poor losers, but please.

    Be gracious winners.

    Can we all do that?

  • Why are people so ignorant when it comes to politics?

With Barack Obama on the verge of becoming president I observed a few things prior to this today, while out today, I saw 2 people chatting, a black male and a white male, the white male questioned the black male why he voted for Obama and not McCain, the black male said that "McCain loves war" How can you back up a statement like that? "He's stupid too"

Upon seeing this I came to the conclusion that.

Majority of the population doesn't vote on policies anymore.

I will say this, for everyone who voted for Obama.

People deserve the government they get.

Think about that in a year or so.

Especially those that make 100k+ as a family, just wait for it.

  • Should we keep fighting and bickering or unite?

Too much division, too much of the blame game, we just need to stop blaming and START ACTING.

We went to the moon, we defeated Nazi Germany, we defeated the Soviet Union, why can't we come together, defeat this economic crisis, defeat the terrorists, and stop playing the blame game?

Both sides are part of this, no " The Republicans started it" or " The Democrats always do this stuff"

  • How does Obama and ACORN relate to the economic crisis?

    http://michellemalkin.com/2008/06/25/the-acorn-oba...

Obama Was Part Of Team Of Lawyers Who Represented ACORN In A Suit Against The State Of Illinois. "Obama was part of a team of attorneys who represented the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) in a lawsuit against the state of Illinois in 1995 for failing to implement a federal law designed to make it easier for the poor and others to register as voters." (Mike Robinson, "Obama Got Start In Civil Rights Practice," The Associated Press, 2/20/07

    http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/rnc-obama--a...

Which led to housing legislation to "make housing affordable for all"

Too bad all these people that received the mortgages from ACORN could never pay them within months to a year.

    Docket / Court 94 C 4094 ( N.D. Ill. ) FH-IL-0011

    State/Territory Illinois

    Case Summary

Plaintiffs filed their class action lawsuit on July 6, 1994, alleging that Citibank had engaged in redlining practices in the Chicago metropolitan area in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), 15 U.S.C. 1691; the Fair Housing Act, 42 U.S.C. 3601-3619; the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; and 42 U.S.C. 1981, 1982. Plaintiffs alleged that the Defendant-bank rejected loan applications of minority applicants while approving loan applications filed by white applicants with similar financial characteristics and credit histories. Plaintiffs sought injunctive relief, actual damages, and punitive damages.

U.S. District Court Judge Ruben Castillo certified the Plaintiffs’ suit as a class action on June 30, 1995. Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank, 162 F.R.D. 322 (N.D. Ill. 1995). Also on June 30, Judge Castillo granted Plaintiffs’ motion to compel discovery of a sample of Defendant-bank’s loan application files. Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank, 162 F.R.D. 338 (N.D. Ill. 1995).

The parties voluntarily dismissed the case on May 12, 1998, pursuant to a settlement agreement.

  • How high will taxes get under Obama?

Projected total price for Socialized Healthcare in 2008

    2.4$ trillion

Private sector pays for approximately 2$ trillion of it.

    Eliminate private sector.

2.4$trillion divided by 300 million heads.

Each American citizen would owe 8,000$ and each 4 person family 32,000 ( 300,000,000 is a strech, that # is counting illegal immigrants and those in severe poverty )

In 2007, the projected cost for healthcare was 2.1$ trillion

300$ billion dollar increase per year for healthcare.

    over 10 years.

    300x10

    3$ trillion

    Joy...

If we follow Obama's tax plan estimated tax burden on tax payers, ( staying at a constant 300 million pop. )

    2.4 + 2.7 + 3.0 + 3.3 + 3.6 + 3.9 + 4.2 + 4.5 + 4.8 + 5.1 = roughly 37,100,000,000,000$

    37,100,000,000,000$ divided by 300,000,000 = roughly 123,666.66 ( repeating )

Over 10 years, each person will have paid a MINIMUM of 123,666.66 dollars.

494666.66$ for every four person family.

    One plan, ONLY ONE PLAN.

494,666.66$ owed by each four person family over 10 years.

    Disgraceful.

  • Big promise no follow up?

Does Obama's plan on taxes really show what he intends for america.

2.4$ trillion is alot of money, you can't tax just the upper class that, that is just for his socialized healthcare plan.

Does he realize he will be taxing the people he promises relief?

I did the #s on just the Socialized healthcare

    2,400,000,000,000/300,000,000 = 8,000

That 300 million is pushing it population wise if you figure in the severly poor and illegal immigrants that don't pay taxes.

    8000$ per person.

    32000$ per 4 person family

    Is his tax plans realistic?

  • Who has a bigger socialist agenda?

Barack Obama proposes to socialize health care, eliminate private industry.

Total cost: 2.2$ trillion in 2007

George Bush, Ben Bernanke, and others have proposed legislature to recreate the RTC ( Resolution Trust Group ) and own these unsafe shares estimating costs to be 700$ billion.

In 10 years the total that it will cost the U.S. citizen to pay off Ben Bernanke's plan.

    700$ Billion.

In 10 years how much will it take to pay for Barack Obama's Socialized Health care?

24,000,000,000,000$ ( without taking into account inflation, rising population and technology costs and large portion of illegal immigrants suddenly eligible for health care.)

Who has a bigger socialist agenda, Bush or Barack?

    9 AnswersPolitics1 decade ago
  • Why does Barack insist on expanding welfare?

In fiscal year 2000 (the last year for which combined information on social welfare expenditures from all sources is available) federal, state, and local governments spent about $1.01 trillion on social welfare programs. According to the Treasury Department's 2002 Financial Report of the U.S. Government, the total expenditure for social welfare in 2002 was slightly over 4 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), the monetary total of the domestic goods and services produced by the United States. This reflects a drop of nearly one full percentage point since 1980 and about .75 percent since the early 1990s.

Do we really want to spend more on welfare?

  • Has Change and Hope lost their "flair"?

In the predominantly-democratic state of Minnesota, Barack Obama used to have a 13-point lead.

Since the RNC, the suddenly uncontested state of Minnesota, has become contested.

McCain is now within the margin of error of the recent poll taken.

and is now closing in on Michigan.

Has "Change and Hope" lost it's flair?
