Did Jesus Claim Barack Obama is SATAN?
In Luke 10:18 Jesus I beheld Satan as Lightning fall from Heaven. How does a Jewish Rabbi, which Jesus is credited with being (John 1:38), say in HEBREW, that Satan is like LIGHTNING from heaven?
Barack, also transliterated as Baraq in Hebrew, is LIGHTNING (Strongs Hebrew word 1300). Even in Greek, Barak is LIGHTNING (Strongs Greek word 913) for the name of a person!
The ONLY WAY, a Jewish Rabbi can say in Hebrew that SATAN is LIGHTNING is, SATAN BARACK!
For those that answered me about the translation thank you. I never ever said I thought he was the antichrist. I was only asking if it is true about the translation. I found this on the internet, and asked about it. Once again I asked is this true?

Just so you know, I'm not a fan of Senator Obama. But I am a fan of the truth.
The word Jesus chose to use for Lightning in Luke 10:18 in Greek sounds more like astronomy (astrape actual pronunciation) than Barak, so please do a better job of fact checking what you hear.
Sure the Greek word 913 sounds like Barak and one meaning is Lightning, but it is used only used in the New Testament in Hebrews 11:32 where it's actually someone's name ... a commander of the Israelite and listed among great men such as Sampson, Gideon and David.
Finally, I'll check 1300. There are a lot of verses in the Old Testament with the word lightning, but none of them look to have anything to do with Satan.
I really wish you would have fact checked yourself.
Seriously, you make not only yourself look foolish, but other conservatives as well.
So, emphatically no. Jesus in no way even came close to calling Barak Obama Satan.
Edit: Ok, you're right, you did ask if it's true. That makes it marginally easier to swallow to know that you weren't being totally gullible. Glad you asked. I think so many people on here no longer ask for understanding's sake, but to try to spur discussion that most of us assumed that was what you were doing.
For my assumption I apologize.
I hope that the links I've provided below give you some keys to unlocking tools that will help you be able to discover for yourself in the future.

Jesus is talking about when Satan fell from Heaven, not Barack Obama.

You lie. In Greek, the word for lightning is "astrape."
Dare I actually go further in this matter?
EDIT--Yes. I dare go further. The Greek verse for Luke 10:18 is (transliterated into Roman script):
Eipe de autois, Etheoroun ton Satanan hos astrapen ek tou ouranou pesonta.
The word "astrapen" is the singular accusative of "astrape." "Barak" occurs nowhere in this text.
Epic Fail.

You people are really desperate to find something bad to say about the guy, aren't you?
A hundred years from now this campaign will be remembered as the one in which a religion tried its best to smear a candidate with the worst lies ever used in a political campaign. It may even be remembered as the beginning of the end for Christian influence on politics.

There are millions of people in the world named Barack, so it could only be true if Jesus had personally named him.
I hope I have heightened your fear.
Have a great day!

Don't be a party to twisting things out of place and misinterpretting the Bible. In truth Jesus is responding to his disciples about the power they receive through him. Please read within the context.
Luke 10:17-42 (King James Version)
17And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
In all truth if you want to talk about lightning and Baraq then lightning is mentioned in the Bible far more often as being God's lightning.... but feel free to choose your own interp....
Lightning is mentioned as being God's lightning in 5 places in psalms:
Psalm 18:14
Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
Psalm 77:18
The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.
Psalm 97:4
His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
Psalm 135:7
He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
Psalm 144:6
Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

Barak is 'lightning' in Hebrew.
Baruch (Hebrew) and Barack (Arabic, and later Swahili) mean 'blessed'.
You might as well argue that McCain is the anti-Christ because his name means 'son of Cain'.

So in theory anyone with that name is Satan?
He isn't the only person in the world with that name.
What about the Jewish and Christian hero from the bible who defeated the Canaanites, was he Satan also?

Lol. I'd say you're really reaching.
Whoever started this internet rumor that Obama is the Anti-Christ, needs to be smacked. It absolutely makes no sense.
