Is it wrong to EXPECT?

I believe it pretty much ruins a lot of things..

What do you think?

Update:

I am the kind of person who HOPES.. but never expect because it only causes disappointment.. And being disappointed is, well, disappointing..

I'm talking about life in general.

There is nothing wrong with having expectations. Of course there are times where this doesn't work. You can't expect from unpredictable situations, like Love and Fame... But you should expect to get a paycheck if you work at your job and you should expect to get gas if you pay for it.

No of course not, it is when you lose hope things go wrong. Expectation is a very powerful thing to use. So don't worry about anything and then you will attract what you want.

  • Good morning sister

    how are you?

1 Sri Krishna in gita had said one should do his work but one should never get attach to the results because if you will get attach to the results and will not be successful than you will got pain.

so one should perform there duties honestly and by hard work dont get so much attachment with the results.

2 "Attachment is the Biggest cause of Pain"

    sri krishna

no never get attach with anything in this world in excess that can be harmful for you, because tomorrow if the person will not love you back or if you had done so much hard work and will get attach to the results than you will get pain.

so one should perform there actions and deeds honestly because results are not always in our hand for example i am not selected in ahemdabad, chandigarh for mtv roadies audition i not feel disappoinment i not attach myself to that,i do my full effore now i am going to mumbai for roadies audition.

  • I expect a lot of things and No I don't consider it wrong. It goes both ways though. In life you really do get what you give and to give feels brilliantly good...

Not if you paid! OH, were you meaning like in a relationship? Cause that's completely different. In that case it's only wrong to "expect" if you didn't pay! LOL

I expect very little from others. Expecting regular progress from myself, however, is an excellent motivator, and probably the only effective motivator I know.

Absolutely - I am trying to lower my expectations to the point where it doesn't spoil anything but its hard going getting that low I am constantly surprised by new experiences that teach me - 'not low enough yet'
