Should I get a braided washing machine hose with an automatic cut off?

I was told that the braided hose is better than the standard black hose, but I was wondering if I should buy one with an automatic cut off or not. Someone heard that the automatic cut off doesn't work as well and I was wondering if this is true (and if so, why it isn't as good). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, at least on the hoses. I see nearly every week as I work on washing machines, tumor type buldges in hoses, and suggest replacing them with braided hoses. Only one time in 22 years have I seen a hose burst, and the people were on vatation. It was horrible and caused 10's of thousands of dollars in damage. The cut offs on the other hand I'm not so sure about. I've seen them fail and NOT alow water into the washer, so I would say maybe not for theese. They also make braided hoses for ice makers and dishwashers.

Braided hoses are great, I use them at home. The ones with the built in cutoff are kind of a pain as you have to remove and reset them should pressure spike.
